@xonos-darkgrate Welcome to the dark side, Xonos. We have ice cream.
XD
Well, you might’ve guess that this isn’t the dark side. We have too many elves and unicorns for that. But anyway, welcome! Glad to have you!
Cool name, BTW.

@raevynstar Ooh! He does sound like a great character. For someone who controls fire, he doesn’t sound like very much of a fighter, which I think is great, because when someone thinks fire, they think of a fighter. Nice and unique, that one. *thumbs up*
If you want to improve him, I’d discover some of his quirks. What does he do when he’s…[Read more] -

@raevynstar Ah, hiatus. I suppose those are good from time to time. What kind of sci-fi is it? (star warsy/star treky or I Robot-y or something else)?

@jess-penrose
Well, in my opinion, I wouldn’t use the Message bible because even though it is an easier version to read and uses more colloquial terms, it isn’t necessarily doctrinely ‘sound’. One verse that is extremely important to us as Christians is this “Before Abraham was, I Am.” This clearly states that Jesus is God, very important to…[Read more] -

@epicaddie2 Hey, if you read Judges and finish it, let me know! I’ve done a study on it and I think I have some of my notes still with a lot of cool things, if you want to discuss it a bit. 🙂

@the-real-kapeefer Dude? Seriously? Don’t do that to me again. I wrote a page long rant on why not to use the message bible because of you. 😛
Ah well. I was able to apply my biblical doctrine class to all this, sooo…And can I please point out that one verse.
John 1:14 rewrite : “The word became flesh and blood and moved into the neighborhood.”

@joy-schmidt Hey! Another thing I just thought of today… you know how you like to be satisfied, and how finishing the planning does that for you. Well, my ultimate satisfaction from writing is word count. I’ve been keeping a journal of how many words I’ve written for each of my writing sessions, and keeping track of how many words a day I write…[Read more]

“The Message is not a translation, nor can it strictly be said to be a paraphrase of the original languages of the Bible.” gotquestions.orgBefore I go on a rant of my opinions of the Message bible… @rolena-hatfield Does it go against the forum rules to talk about this? Rule one, to be exact? I just want to make sure…

@jess-penrose Agreed. KJV is accurate, and although no extremely literal to the Greek, it is still as we say, accurate. I use ESV and KJV and NKJV, and although they aren’t the same, they are all correct in biblical doctrine.

Oh, and also, a few differences in the wording of a section of the bible does not change the story.

@the-real-kapeefer Nooo… You do know that the KJV is one of the most accurate and to-the-text-bible translations we have, right?

@epicaddie2 If you want action stories, go the Bible. 😀 We did Judges a few summers ago in my youth group, and I’m glad we did. 🙂

@the-real-kapeefer He’s not made up or fake. He was a real judge in the book of Judges, that God used to save His people from oppression.
Judges 3:14-23
So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.
But when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a…[Read more] - Load More
