Kate Flournoy started the topic G.K. Chesterton in the forum Book Discussions 7 years, 8 months ago
Okay guys.
@Hope gave me a book with three of G.K. Chesterton’s novels in it as an early birthday present, and though I have only read one of them so far it completely blew my mind.
It was The Ball and the Cross.Has anyone else read it? If so, can we please discuss how amazing it is? If you haven’t read it… don’t waste another minute of your…[Read more]

Fall and Winter months are over, and that’s crazy, but its true. Just yesterday I made the Fall and Winter Goals topic. Or maybe that wasn’t yesterday, but either way, it feels like that.
Well, I was able to complete my goal last time, finishing my novel before the appointed time, and since it worked so nicely last time, I figured I’d make…[Read more] -

Hey guys,
I’ve been working on this short story I wrote a while back, and I thought it might be a good idea before I get started on the next draft to ask for your opinions and see if any of you have ideas for improving it. (I’d really appreciate them!) 🙂
I wrote draft 1 1/2 recently and looking over it afterward, it occurred to me that it’s…[Read more]

@emma-flournoy y’all will love it SO much!!! Family Camp is one of the best things that’s ever happened to me! : )
@rolena-hatfield It’s close enough to the Mississippi river that they load ya up and take ya on a kayak trip if you sign up for it. The Mississippi river is only 10 minutes away from the camp.

@Rolena-Hatfield Oh that’s RIGHT, you live in Iowa don’t you! It’s near Lansing, IA…I don’t really know where that is except that it’s up near the Minnesota border somewhere…
*heartbroken whisper* So that means you aren’t already going?@Kina-Lamb Yes! Of course it means that, and I can’t wait to see y’all there. 🙂

@rolena-hatfield There are other reflections of their powers as well, in both appearance and personality.
And hello, ENFP! As my mirror function, your type has quite the compatibility with me! A lot of craziness goes down when an ENFP and INFJ are in the same room, trust me. I have like three ENFP friends, along with my sister. Part of that it…[Read more]

I’m late, but welcome to KP @Arella-Noreen! Sounds like you and I have a lot in common (my INFP personality type aside 😉 ). I was born in Texas, adore poetry, write fantasy and sci-fi, homeschooled and proud of it, etc. etc. and all the rest. *grins*
Can you tell us a little bit about your book? It sounds neat, from what @Rolena-Hatfield said. -

@daeus You don’t happen to be the same Daeus from the lovely YWW, do you? As for my personality type, I happen to be deeply fascinated with and passionate about the psychology of MBTI. I’m an INFJ who is always open to deep discussion on the types and cognitive functions. What about you?
@rolena-hatfield A lot of their incidents are different, as…[Read more]

@rolena-hatfield Thanks! At the moment, I’ve recently finished the first draft of my sci-fi (-ish?) novel. It’s basically a superhero novel, which is why I’m not sure what genre to call it. Some people say sci-fi, other say…something else. Oh well. Anyways, it’s about a girl who discovers she has superpowers after getting into a bad wreck that…[Read more]

Ellow,
As you probably all know, I’ve been working on publishing recently and the news at the moment is…now I’m published!
But SHHHH! Don’t tell anyone yet. The fact is I’ll probably need another week or two before I’m completely ready to let the world know about it. One of the things I want to get done first is to change the price.
I’ve…[Read more]

Hi Everyone,
I’m working on my book description now and would like your opinion. The first paragraph is one I wrote a while ago and feel settled on, so I don’t think I’ll change anything there unless there’s a glaring error, but the second part is what I’d particularly like your help on. And…*controls explosive laughter* I totally flattered…[Read more]

Okay guys, let’s try something different here. We’ll pick a topic/category and each of us will try to think of something different for that one category, and when we’re out of ideas someone can suggest a new category/topic.
First topic— trains.

@Rolena-Hatfield Can I ask just how y’all come up with those prompts? I’ve heard some of the ones Kate’s been doing the graphics for, and they’re incredible! How do you think of them?
