As you’re sitting on your couch one Tuesday afternoon, sipping your all time favorite beverage, your phone rings. You lift the cellular device to your ear and answer with a sleepy hello. A chipper voice replies informing you that you’ve been picked at random as the winner of the “Ask Your Author” contest. She gives you the email address to your…[Read more]

We have some similar names as well @gretald! I have a Princess Miret and her father’s name is Miris. I love the Invisible Ones. Sounds so mysterious. I think I would like to meet this Madam Munch. She sounds like quite the character. 😉

@bluejay I’m sorry but I just can’t help but jump in! I love Anne of Green Gables. (though I’ve only seen the first and second film). I just watched the first two films with some friends this past weekend. That scene were she acts out The Lady of Shallot poem is one of my favorites! I grew up watching those two movies and actually didn’t…[Read more]

Deciding that I’m going to write some now and then trying to come up with the best possible scene that should come next… and then rethinking it and rethinking it and… well you get the picture. My fingers don’t even hit the keys sometimes.

Rolena Hatfield replied to the topic When Do You Write? in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 10 months ago
I can’t really pinpoint a time frame in which I write the most. Recently it’s come at random. With work and family routines, I’d probably say in the evening.
Or when I suddenly get the most ingenious idea I’ve had in a while and then I have to write it out that very moment! Even if it’s the middle of the night 🙂

Alright, so I’m not a poet, dispite the claim in this topic. But, from time to time I’ve tried my hand at poetry and I would like to learn, thus I am submitting a poem I wrote a few months ago when I couldn’t sleep and so got up and wrote this. (There’s a writers life for ya 🙂 ) Critique away!

All of your resources have been fantastic Daeus! I look forward to looking into this newest book you’ve suggested.
I’ve already done some self-publishing, but I haven’t yet taken it very seriously. (such as marketing and gigantic email lists, etc.) :pI think now is a good time to start!

Rolena Hatfield replied to the topic Tags in the forum Questions and Support 8 years, 11 months ago
As I understand them, tags are to help identify under which topic a post would fall under. They allow you to find things easier according to what the post is related to.
For example, if I made a post about needing help with my novel that’s a pirate story, I might add the tags, pirates, novel, or help. It shows what my post is related to.

@littlebrowndog I liked your Rowan Dyer! Your two villains with the last name Collins must be related, hmmm that would make for an interesting story. 🙂
@Ivy-Rose Every name is creative and special, cause you get to pick the ones you like! :p What I like about your list of names is that their all easy to prounouce. Sometimes authors take such…[Read more]

Wait a minute… I just recalled to mind one of my old chums Everette Fletcher. (He was from the city of Mauven.) How odd that he and Percy have the same last name… perhaps distant cousins? Pray tell, where does this Percy Fletcher hail from?
Come to think of it Kate… could Mr. Burton and Mr. Burton be somehow related?! *gasp* Perhaps twins…[Read more]
