Sakura Pigma Microns. I haven’t mastered getting a reliable thickness from my dip pen, so I really like using the Microns. They’re very similar to a thin India ink, just as archival, and come in a wide range of thicknesses. (I typically use 02 – 003 but it’s nice to have a chunky 08 once in a while.) Plus they’re much easier…[Read more]

Really? Come to think of it, I don’t know where I got it. It’s not really a common phrase where I grew up. XD
But hey, if bats aren’t a good description of mildly erratic feelings frustrated madness, I don’t know what is.

Wilhelm
He crept up the stairway like a creature of the night. A creature of the night with golden hair and freckles.
But he was only like a creature of the night, not one in reality. He focused on setting his feet down silently, keeping his weight balanced evenly.
There were drafts of cold wind in this stairwell. They chilled the back of his…[Read more]

@whalekeeper aw, yaaayyyy. XD Glad to be liked. @loopylin Add at thy pleasure! Wilhelm is lost somewhere and could probably use someone redirecting him.
I don’t remember age requirements. In a fantasy school, that could get tricky to calculate. So, I’m supposing the boys are an equivalent of teen years.
Wilhelm Kemp is the second son of Artur…[Read more]

What about gout? It’s caused by a buildup of uric acid crystals in the blood which get deposited in joints (hyperuricemia). The only real treatment of it is to try to reduce inflamation, change to a low uric acid diet (no red meats, ect.), and exercise.
But think of it like this: there is a substance in some food that forms crystals in a person’s…[Read more]

I kinda want to add a character here… One from an old WIP, just to see if there was life left in it. XD The world building and character development is terrible. But I still kinda love it.
It’s like Rangers Apprentice+the Silmarilion+Knights of Aerethtrae+Men of Iron. Medieval kids and…[Read more]

*Sudden joy* (warning this post gets rather long)
Well, the history of tea is a really fun topic to study! I haven’t gone every deep in it, just enough to wet my proverbial toes. Here will be some rough notes.. I’ll share some articles, but I doesn’t want to disturb Wyoh, and I haven’t been able to find the ones I read a while ago.…[Read more]

It would be funny if it still dyes your teeth green despite the liquid itself being purple. Maybe a bluish green to match the fern.
This. Yes.
People are obsessed with packaging things, storing it in air-tight containers, drying it – and tea mixes are a natural byproduct.
Oh, interesting! Focusing on tea as a way to preserve an herb rather than a…[Read more]

Gabriel Mai
Gabriel’s eyes cracked open a few hours later, still hazy with exhaustion. He let out a small sigh, then went silent a second, before sitting up as if in alarm, untangling his fingers from the ribbon, and drawing his blades, red veins going up the blade. He scanned the fog around him, then shook his head. The voices in his…[Read more]

I agree that it’s good to get good rest, and generally best to sleep and wake up early. However, I think the exhaustion of adulthood is often life itself. XD Yes, good sleep makes it better, as does understanding different ways to truly rest and good time management. But I wouldn’t dare look at the young mom and say “if you…[Read more]
