You know you’re a writer when you can’t use certain words because no one knows what they mean.
You know you’re a procrastinator if you have to put a sign on the top of your computer that says ‘back to work’.

@Aratrea I won’t be able to do any of those. :'( It’s the time, unfortunately. That specific period is really busy for our whole family on any normal day, and with a new baby in the house (yes! New little sister; tenth sibling! 😀 ) I would feel really bad about shrugging my work off on the others, even if only for an hour.
You guys have fun though. 🙂

Yes, my MC sees how ‘in control’ Tain looks about everything and starts leaning toward copying his EiL (and almost does for a chapter or so) before he sees how it ends up.

@aratrea Monday 17th is the best for me. I am around-ish for the other days, but I’m actually at my cousin’s house so I’m not sure how good her connection is to be able to be watching live-streamed videos. I’ll have to check with her, if it ends up being anywhere between the 10th-16th.

For starting chapter outlines, I usually have already written at least a little of bit of my book so far. Maybe a page, a paragraph, a chapter, a prologue. something that will get me going. From that, I’ll simply describe what happens in a few sentences and stem off of that for planning…[Read more]

I jot down the rough idea/scene that I want to have in each chapter. For example: Chapter Two Protagonist breaks out of hospital. And then I go on to expand on that later, if I feel like it, by working out several ideas of how and when and why he’s doing that and everything.

I like that you’re drawing from the theme itself and not merely from the focusing question. Does Tain draw the MC closer toward the notion that he should fight for his freedom before the MC sees how it turns out for Tain?
