Also, some other advice I would give is that you might want to read something (specifically something in the genre). Now this won’t help with comparisons but at least for me it helped me relax a bit and helped me get ideas/rethink some of my stuff.

Abelard seems cool. His dynamic is certainly interesting. As for the quote from Hitler, I am pretty sure it came from a letter. I did get to read an excerpt of Mien Kampf in Euro for a primary source analysis and let’s just say that Hitler’s mind is not a very good place.

I can agree that I feel like it is sometimes best not to redeem characters. I will say that I do think Hans will be a very good villain (and I feel he will probably have a good arc).
