Congrats on the 200 pages. Thats great. How many words is that (just to help me put in perspective because the font and page size can alter stuff) (also @folith-feolin has trained my brain to imagine books by word count)?
I can’t wait till my book is around that but I am only at chapter 22 of my outline. Hoping summer can help…[Read more]

Are you a senior (I feel like I should know this)? Good luck with your collage aps.
Yea. I did take the Euro exam. It was fun. The DBQ was weird though. It was on the Haitin revolution which is like a very tiny part of the APEuro exam. It worked out for me though because we had just covered the Haitian revolution in depth…[Read more]

The question you’re asking touches on the philosophical debate about the nature of creativity and originality. While it is an intriguing topic, there isn’t a definitive answer that all philosophers, writers, or scholars agree upon. Different viewpoints exist, and I’ll outline a few perspectives for you to consider.
1. Original Creation: Some…[Read more]

Welcome back man. Seems like your fast went well. Did you do any APs? Also how has the end of school year (if that is how your schooling works) been treating you?

Hello. This isn’t really the first time we’ve met on KP but when I saw this pop back up I was like I guess I should introduce myself (the last couple of weeks have been AP week so I haven’t been on KP much).
So I see you like fantasy (writing and reading if I am correct). I also love fantasy stuff but I definitely prefer darker fanta…[Read more]

I will disagree with some of the others.
I personally think that you should go through with killing Dietrich (from the wrightup). It seems like you have already set up the story where killing him completes his arc. Personally it can be very useful to kill a likeable good character because you can increase the story’s t…[Read more]

Got some free time in history so I am going to procrastinate and type up this 😄.
I agree with @smiley that characters are important. I will say that one thing I recommend you do is focus on character development.
For the sake of a common example of what not to do, I would like to use KOTLC (please don’t get mad at me). The…[Read more]

Just a question (please don’t get offended I am just kind of confused). Why is Ara looking for clues boring? I mean that is like basically the way all mystery stories work. I can probably help you with more details on what makes it feel boring though could give you pointers without it if you want.
As forNovembers plot i…[Read more]

You kind of just mentioned one of the main reasons I generally dislike the YA genre (no offence to the majority of you guys who wright YA stuff. I do like some YA stuff its just there has been a majority of YA stuff that I have not found as good because I feel like the genre is too teenagery (I guess that could be a descriptor to…[Read more]

Also, some other advice I would give is that you might want to read something (specifically something in the genre). Now this won’t help with comparisons but at least for me it helped me relax a bit and helped me get ideas/rethink some of my stuff.

@otherworldlyhistorian ah yea most ppl on here are or have been homeschooled 😂 but good luck!
Thanks. Yea, I know most of you guys are homeschooled but one of the homeschooled guys at my church is doing some APs so that was one of the reasons I had thought to ask. I don’t really know all too much about how homeschooling works so I…[Read more]

The AP (Advanced placement program) is basically this part of The College Board. (Side note: The Collage Board is the people who own and make SATs and stuff). There are basically a bunch of AP tests that The College Board offers that correspond to different classes (or I guess curriculums. You technically don’t need a special…[Read more]

A lot of my inspiration comes from history. I also get inspired a lot by ideas from other books as has been already mentioned.
