Not-So-Secret Secret Assassin

@elishavet-pidyon

It’s his rock bottom.

😧

Inglor, no… I’m so sorry. I did not mean to lead your author to this idea. Please forgive me.

The poor guy probably doesn’t deserve to lose his rock. I vote he and his rock live happily ever after together, the end.

Is the project disconcerted as well?

Yes it is intensely disconcerted. It wasn’t even s…[Read more]

@elishavet-pidyon

Really? *feels imense satisfaction*

Indeed. XD I hope Inglor finds constant hope under this vague doom you speak of.

I am both intrigued and concerned lol.

I am also concerned and I happen to be the writer of this… thing

@elishavet-pidyon

Somehow, even though whenever we actually write in his story he’s a bundle of adventureous dreams and joy, he has always had this doom hanging over him.

His name somehow communicates that to me. Not concretely, but you know what I mean. It sounds dreamy to me, but also a little foreboding because of the –lor ending.

I think his s…

Thank you for contributing these lovely little memes today.

You need to tell me who Inglor is. I am a touch concerned for him. 😅 It sounds like he thinks he’s okay and he isn’t really okay.

Also, Remi meme! Heehee! I… may or may not be writing a novella for him. That may or may not be happening as we speak.

@savannah_grace2009 hey, drafting and redrafting is a part of the story!

also, all that makes sense. If you really wanted to, you could actually just not have humans, and say that the equivalent of “humans” are all of the sentient races. There’s a book series I read which has three “human” races: the tall and skinny o’rants, the more muscular ma…[Read more]

Heck yes, it’s overstimulating. Hopefully it will calm down and everyone will settle! Or we’ll get used to it, I suppose. Either way, I’m thankful because the site was beginning to look desolate.

@quarterstaffgirl

*Comes in, closes the door behind me, and crashes on the nearest beanbag* Undeniably yes. It’s my comfort series. Who is your favorite character, what is your favorite book, why do you like the series, and do you have any other opinions you wish to report?

@elishavet-pidyon

You are very welcome

@savannah_grace2009

Heeyyyyy, so uh… yeah, things are a little chaotic at the present. It hasn’t been happening for long! I believe we started getting new members on Monday? Not sure. We are all alive, some of us just barely. We were used to the quieter pace and now things are changing. This place is busy again. :]

@quarterstaffgirl

I would kind of like to be siblings with the Wingfeathers (tho that would throw off the entire plot), or Kate from Mysterious Benedict Society. Those come to mind first.

*Peeks at this conversation through a crack in the door*

Are you… a big fan of Mysterious Benedict Society?

@quarterstaffgirl

You’re welcome! Our brains need room to breathe and generate ideas without rules. Sometimes we cause our problems by putting too many walls around ourselves, hehe.

Yeah, I’ve heard some Christians don’t celebrate Christmas because it integrated some popular winter traditions from pagan cultures.

Personally, I see it as taking back the culture for Christ. Taking something pagan and turning into something that is meant to glorify God.

That’s actually one of the primary missions of Kingdom Pen.

But if you…[Read more]

You literally just answered the question I’ve been asking myself: why have I never finished first drafts? It’s because the middle of my book always feels forced!!!

There you have it! When I talk with people, either about my own work or theirs, that section in between the inciting incident and the midpoint is almost always the pro…[Read more]

Hi @Elishavet Elroi !

So cool you’re pursuing an illustrating career and theology!  What kinds of essays do you write?

We’ll look into the privacy option. Actually, the original reason we had it public was for safety.

I used to be a member of a private creative writing forum, and it allowed for some people to prey on members of the community.…[Read more]

Really great points @Quicksilverwyvern ! Especially bringing up the Genetic Fallacy. Not to sound judgy, but I feel like a lot of Christians could benefit from studying a little bit of logic. Maybe we wouldn’t get so many wanting to cancel Christmas and things of that sort. Haha!

My wife grew up in an abusive religious cult that actually had the…[Read more]

My family started out going to an Evangelical Free church as well, I used to work at a Presbyterian church, and I’ve a southern baptist church before too, so a little familiar with all of that. My views on God and the Bible have changed pretty radically since I was a kid though.

But definitely agree with the EF belief in…[Read more]

Exactly! Love geeking out over the Bible! Baptism is the new circumcision. There are so many other passages and example of baptism all throughout scripture that are all consistent and point to this reality.

Passover for example. The Israelites had to be covered by the blood of the lamb by spreading the blood on their doorposts. We now…[Read more]

Rallascant, you fuzzy snitch. You’re the opposite of a lucky rabbit’s foot.

I do appreciate your sass, but this is remarkably unhelpful.

The Lord Heals!

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree; so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. – 1 Peter 2:24
