Crosshair
“Let’s go questing!!” Ayla brandished her sword out in front of her as she walked.
Crosshair rolled his eyes. Tech or Omega or even Feather probably would’ve enjoyed this more, but none of them were here.
“Stop being so obvious.” he hissed. “If there are in fact guards or dragons or whatever, you yelling and waving that…[Read more]

To each their own then! I have no problem with that lol

question: what do you think of the Seven year jump forward ending?
Hmm, I don’t mind it. It’s a little strange if your second book is going to pick up right where this one left off, but that’s not a bad thing.
were you sad Aaron died?
Yes, but oddly enough, when a God-fearing character dies in a story, I’m not usually as sad as I…[Read more]

@esther-c Bruhhh that’s so random
but it’s cool!
I’ve been to Italy and it’s amazing.
The north and the south regions of the country basically consider themselves two different cultures, haha. I’ve only been to the south. The people there were generally nice.
I’ll have to ask my mom about this, she remembers more than me haha

Yep sort of. I meant guys dressing as girls, or vise versa. So yeah. It’s gross and called some pretty strong names in the Bible.
XD and I love wearing only dresses and skirts.

@koshka yeah she’s crazy lol
and yeah I don’t like crossdressing either, if by crossdressing you mean guys in skirts or girls in tuxes or something like that. Eeeyagh, just thinking about what that’d look like is making me cringe.
I mean, I hate wearing dresses or skirts and would rather have a (modest) pair of pants, but I’m sure that’s not…[Read more]

@freed_and_redeemed very good points!
also yeah braces stink from what I’ve heard. I’m glad I got the plastic things instead of the metal wires, but I know a lot of people who need braces can’t get those cause they only work for certain conditions. And I still had to get a few little metal anchors in my mouth for rubber bands to attach to, and…[Read more]

Oh gracious. I remember braces. I drank a lot of soup/broth, and yogurt. Anything that didn’t require teeth.
I don’t have anything to add to that so- *nods* Well put.
Also, Leon you poor baby. I’ll always care for you even if you are as mixed up as a crushed bag of tortilla chips. *Offers a mug of tea and cookies*

She sounds fun. XD
I totally recommend looking into girl’s/guy’s different physiological in fighting. It’s pretty interesting if you find a decent source, and I know it’s helped with my characters.

Once most girls start to fight, they don’t care what it takes to win.
Hah, you just described my charrie Huntress. Good thing too. I was worried I’d made her a little too masculine when fighting, but now I see I don’t have to completely trash those scenes, just edit them a bit.

On the other hand, do you mean that you believe it is wrong for a woman to enlist?
I personally can’t find scripture against a woman joining military, or fighting in real life on way or another.
Now, when women fight, things get ugly. My brother and I have discussed this before, having both done similar research, and I’d like…[Read more]

*screen comes to life*
That would depend on what you mean by “norms”. To be blatant, I don’t like crossdressing, and other such greying of lines. I like lines. I also like to know exactly why that line is there, and if it is a good line. As long as this “norm” isn’t a biblical thing, or crosses a line I’ve personally dr…[Read more]

The Guardians of the Galaxy. The Bad Batch (technically they’re a ragtag group of misfits if you really think about it). Team Fortress (I won’t talk about them much here, but it doesn’t change the fact that they completely fit the description). The Dragonets of Destiny from Wings of Fire (again, won’t talk…[Read more]

yeah, I’m agreeing with @esther-c on this one.
it’s ok to mess around with the “societal norms” as long as you’re not messing with the Biblical roles. That second one’s kinda the whole problem with people these days who believe they can switch between the two (or that there’s a myriad of genders rather than simply two predesigned ones). That’s…[Read more]

I love how that soldier–Adrian, I think?–wants to learn more about Aaron’s beliefs after he saw how brave he was before dying.
The fact that you have a story where the main character dies and the POV switches is nice for me too, because I have a story idea where something like that happens and now I have an idea of what to do.
