@savannah_grace2009 what do you hate about it specifically?
maybe take a break from that story and come back to it later.
If you hate your writing because you’re comparing it to someone else’s….well, just don’t. It doesn’t matter how good someone else’s story is–if it’s making you feel negative about your own writing because you think that…[Read more]

@whalekeeper found another soundtrack!!
when the battle begins and twenty-four characters are spread throughout the landscape to find and kill each other, this is what echoes in their minds:

I just love talking down to these guys.
Leo
Interrogation? Leo’s skin began to crawl. His eyes narrowed.
“So you do believe in souls? How interesting.” And he squeezed the boy’s cold wrists again, who in return tried to crush Leo against the wall. Leo rolled his eyes. This Agent wasn’t much of a concern at this point, bu…[Read more]

@savannah-grace2009
I hear you, Sara. I hate my writing right now too.
How about this? Write me a paragraph describing a rose, in the most creative way you can think of. Maybe it will turn out better than you think. :]

Of course not! He’s just trying to keep him safe…but he’s Leo so that may not look like what you’d expect. XD I mean, the first time he showed up here he was patching a pipe with duct tape.
Leo
Leo didn’t like these kids. He stared back with bored annoyance, laying one gloved hand over the fist that gripped his shirt. His…[Read more]

Sorry, this is hilarious.
Leo
Agents. Rory was shaking so hard the bucket he was sitting on clinked faintly. Footsteps sounded down the hall, coming closer. Closer.
Great blue stars. Leo clenched his teeth, casting a calculated glance around the closet. Mops, brooms, bottles of cleaner solution, an industrial trash can.
An…[Read more]

There is a city around the school, and some characters are less tied to the school itself but spend time there for whatever reason. 👍

We’re allowed to, it’s just sort of the basis for why everyone’s here. Plus we’d still be pretty connected to the school.
Gotcha. Let’s go fluster some bad guys.

Leo
Rory slammed into him. He gasped and stumbled backward, snagging a doorknob to keep from falling.
The door opened behind him and he went down, pulling Rory with him. An assortment of mops and and cleaning supplies caught his fall.
A janitor’s closet.
Quickly, Leo pushed the door shut with his boot. They sat in silence for…[Read more]

This’ll be fun.
I was thinking they’d get out, but not easily (so we can have more fun), but if you have another idea, please go ahead. Leo’s focus right now is getting Rory and himself out the mess they’re in. Where would they go? That depends on what you want to do. They could go to Leo’s apartment, or hanger, or somewhere…[Read more]

Sorry it’s mostly Leo jabbering..
Leo
He stared at Rory for a moment, then slowly smiled. Didn’t Silvia always say God had a sense of humor?
“Yes Rory, you’ll be safe with me, Lord willing. I may need an assistant, who knows? However, our first priority is to get you out of this building undetected. We can figure out the…[Read more]

Hugo
Hugo looked up from flipping through a book, amused by the scene. “You’d better not give him too hard of a time.”
Nar bounced on her feet.
“And,” Hugo added, “many people go together just for the social event.”
As he said it, he struggled to picture Alpha partying with the masses. What would that look like? He shook his head and…[Read more]

Yep reptiles. (My younger self meant gentiles.)
Is he allergic to corn or something? Our dog was lactose intolerant as a puppy, but he can handle smaller doses of dairy now.
Oh gracious. The baton one is probably my favorite. XD

@linus-smallprint Cool, and thank you for the tips! I did the same when naming my creatures:
- “Drachenheul” is somewhat-butchered German for “dragon howl” cause those creatures are part-wolf and part-dragon (besides their human part). The reason I chose German was because that’s the nationality of the character who inspired the species, plus…
