Howdy. I’m planning to write for the next hour. I’ll probably get interrupted and have to leave for a time, but I’m going to do my best.

@salome01w4g I grew up on HF reading and writing!
A couple favorite authors… L.M. Montgomery, Louisa May Alcott and Lois Gladys Leppard.
I also really liked Robin Hood and Ivanhoe. 🙂What’s y’all’s favorite historical time period to write about?

@dragon-snapper Yes, I like it too. Unfortunately, I find there’s a movie under that title and two novels. None of them seem popular at all, especially not the novels, but it would still be annoying if they showed up when someone searched for my book. I’m still keeping it in mind because if someone sees the title and goes “ooh”, that’s the most…[Read more]

@Ethryndal do it. I plead horribly guilty of workaholism, but more and more I’ve come to value re-charging and taking a step back for a change of perspective.
I strongly do not recommend trashing the story you have, but I understand where you’re coming from. My current WIP (yeah, that one) has been going for three years and it drives me bonkers…[Read more] -

@Daeus oooh, that’s more like it. I don’t think that one necessarily (because it gives away the ending) but that’s definitely a whole lot more dynamic and deep.

@Daeus that does give off some pretty strong Native American vibes, just so you’re aware.

@emma-flournoy Actually, I’ve thought about “To Soar On Eagles”. It doesn’t seem very time travely, but it is a nice title, so I’ll leave it up there as an option.
Let me try to think of some more ideas.

Salutations, @Glitter-Ocelot! You know your MBTI type. I like you already. *grins* Hello, and welcome to the realm of the KeePers of the Pen. I’m an INFP an I write just about anything speculative. Prefer fantasy right now, but really fantasy is such a broad term… eh… nevermind. 😛
Once again, welcome. What’s your favorite book? If you can…[Read more] -

@TheAcornMan I actually did write, when I was younger. They were mostly rip-offs, of course.
I have thought of doing it since, but never very seriously…I think I’m happy enough with my sister’s writing (I’m sort of ‘editor-in-chief’) that I don’t really want to do my own, and I know I wouldn’t be as naturally good at it as she is. 😛 So I don’t…[Read more] -

Welome to the bestistest place on the Internet @Glitter-Ocelot! ENFPs are so fun. We have several of those on here, though not as many as INFPs and INFJs. I’m an ENFJ-T with some ISFJ tendencies. And homeschooled—almost everyone here is. And nerrrrrrrrrds. So welcome home! 😀 Good to have ya.
What’s your favorite genre? -

@TheAcornMan I’m glad. 😀 I know though, books are very often better. I’ve found that if you want a pretty accurate book-to-movie adaptation, BBC does very well with it. I’ve seen a lot of BBC period dramas (mostly Dickens, Austen, Gaskell), and in my experience they’re usually really accurate. And SO WELL DONE. I love BBC.
Actually I’m not a…[Read more]

@TheAcornMan Yeah…I’ve read that most of the movies of it aren’t very accurate to the book. 😛 But the book is REALLY good. Unabridged.
I like the LotR books and movies, both in different ways. Have you seen the movies, but don’t like ’em?
Heh. 😀 Go bury yourself in the library for a bit. Maybe that’ll help. -
