@destiny When I published I went through a kind of third party which put my e-book on Amazon. So I’m afraid I’m no help. But Daeus knows what he’s talking about. 🙂
Are you thinking of publishing with Createspace? -

@salome01w4g Livy told me she was hoping for it back by the end of this month or Nov.
@livylynn Hahaha! I was like, 999,729! Whoa!!!!
I would be more than glad to read your story. I’m fairly certain I could get it back to you by the end of this month. If you’re good with that, I can send you my email address. 🙂 -

@destiny I believe Createspace has articles on how to format using Word. For Scrivener, youtube is the best way to learn.

@destiny Well, you can get books printed from anywhere and then sell them through Amazon, but I assume you’re talking about how to get published through Createspace.
Createspace is an Amazon company that does printing on demand. Somebody orders your book, they print it and ship it. You sit back and enjoy yourself. It’s cool.
So, to self-publish…[Read more]

@livylynn *gawks* if that is indeed your word count, I salute you for being crazier than I am! 😛 I thought my books were ridiculously long. My current WIP, at its ‘final’ second draft stage, was 500,000+ words.
I love beta-reading but unfortunately I can’t take any extra projects right now. I’d not be able to be as thorough as I’d want to.…[Read more]

Wait, @livylynn, are you sure that’s not the character count? It sounds like a lot of words per page.

@kate-flournoy Get over here. I just found someone crazier than you.

@salome01w4g Actually, if you’re talking about Treachery Against The House Of Fairwin, this one is less graphic.

@salome01w4g No, they’re about the same as far as violence goes.

@salome01w4g Good question. I’ll answer it for the whole book. I think the main potential issue would be violence. I never try to be gory, but I always include some details of violence. In chapter 2, there is a character who might seem a bit creepy and who kills a couple people (though without much description). In chapter 4, two innocent people…[Read more]

@daeus It sounds really interesting, Deaus, and congratulations for getting this far! 😀 Unfortunately I don’t think I’d have the time. Thank you for tagging me, though, and good luck with the rest of the process! 🙂

Hi KeePers,
The day has finally come for me to accept early reviewers for my time travel novel, Fools In The Darkness!
For those of you unfamiliar with my story, I have a beta-synopsis below. The book is on the shorter side of average with 31 chapters. I still have some line editing that needs to be done, but the story itself is done editing and…[Read more]

@livylynn It sounds really good! And I am very interested, but I don’t think I’ll be able to. I’m already beta reading three other things for three friends, plus I have a few projects of my own that I really need to give some time to. 🙁 Sorry! But I just wanted to say, your story sounds so interesting, if I had the time, I’d definitely want to…[Read more]

Wow. Government reflects the people’s worldview. Great point! Never thought about it like that before.
Also, @aratrea, @kate-flournoy, @daeus
Who do you think first created the “political intrigue fantasy” subgenre (new genre title officially coined)?
