Writing in general is hard, but hardness is subjective, and it’s all up to what you want. Here though, I don’t think it would be that different from developing a magic system. It’s all about the structure. In terms of developing things like lexicon can come later if at all.

That could make sense. It makes me itch and want to ask about Ontology though. What makes muscle mass fundamentally a different thing from other forms of mass? You can say the compounds present, but then it would be weird in terms of drawing from the ground. You after all are not made from the same things the ground is for the most part.…[Read more]

True, but what would be the most you could do with that? You would essentially just become really heavy, and the most you could do combat wise if your light enough to stand is have a super powerful stability, difficult to move at all. You would want the majority of that mass in your legs, but you could channel a good amount into your arm…[Read more]

That’s a good restriction, another could be simply the practicality of drawing that much mass from something. Maybe you could theoretically draw mass from the planet, but there’s a limit on how much mass your body could take before you simply collapse and break bones from the weight.
