bc i think we get a little too caught up

adornments and braided hair

these things are gorgeous in their own ways

but i hope you see more then that in me

instead i pray you see the unfading vision
of a gentle soul and quiet spirit

something that only God could nurture
this kind of smile that reflects enduring faith

bc i don’t want to lust in material things
i want to be a testament to grace
to victory in Jesus

@mineralizedwritings I’m so sorry you have to deal with all of that, it can be incredibly frustrating as times, I know. I’ll be praying 🤗🙏 Prayer heals. God heals. I truly believe that. Anxiety in itself is a feat, but dealing with chronic pain is a difficult battle too. One that takes a lot of patience to conquer. Thank you for sharing 🫶🏻❤️ And again, I’ll be praying, and I don’t mean that lightly 💕

And you have such a talent for art! I can’t draw for my life!! 😆✨  You truly are gifted, and I’m sure that talent will be used tremendously!!

Yeah. I’m running an anthology, called Diverged in a Wood. It’s a Middle-Grade anthology and submissions just closed yesterday, so now I get to edit and check story flow!! I’m super stoked! It’s been such a blessing, one that I didn’t honestly think would happen lol.

After graduation, I’m just searching for a job and finishing books! My leg is better, yes. Pretty much all the way healed, or at the scarring is. It hurts when the weather changes, kinda like I’m a living barometer lol. God has been good though and the pain has taught me patience. It could have been a whole lot worse. And looking back, I’m alive lol. I’m breathing, I’m walking, which is something the doctor said I may never do the same. I can run in the freezing cold rain. I can dance in the fields of dandelions. I’m very blessed.

I’m good though; super busy. I don’t know if y’all know, but I’m curating an anthology this year that will be published and released in the fall (I think September but I keep going back and forth with the date 🤔). All that to say, curating currently 15 stories written by several authors and its been a lot 😅 I kinda decided to do it out of no-where so its been a ride for sure! It’s a huge blessing and I’m so very thankful I get to do this!

I have my second installment to my trilogy coming out this year – Journey to Amber Forest is the title and so, I’m busy with that. Revisions, drafts after drafts, ghostwriting, illustrations, publishing! I have a podcast this upcoming week that I get to be on, that’s neat…umm, what else??

Oh! I’m graduating this year! Since I’m homeschooled I’m gunna graduate differently then the school system so I’ll be done and graduated right before August. Excited for that 🥳🤙🏻😁

Other then that, that’s about all that I’ve been up to!

I have noticed that there are less people on (I’m partially guilty too, life’s been busy), who knows! Maybe they’re just prepping for grad stuff too!

my name is Kylie
you may have met me before
or maybe you haven’t

i just wanted to explain what i see:
who i can see in the in between
who i have been when the effort is lost

✌🏻❤️

my love is like marbles of glass
something that you can hold in your hands
my energy is tangible
a thousand rainbows reflect when i pass

i’m the type of friend who always smiles
and that smile is radiant – like sun-kissed flowers
i thought it was dull, “not enough” “i’ve gone through too many trials”
turns out that voice in my head was wrong – my smile is worthwhile

its one thing to love yourself healed
something entirely different to love yourself scarred

i find solace in the little joys
Jesus plays my heart strings

pain is painstakingly annoying at times
suffocating my soul to the point of drowning
yet…
its in this pain i’ve found a sharpening like none other

i’m stubborn and scared
sometimes i doubt if God is really there

i have never been a writer
but the writing still pours out
somehow these words find the way
out of my shut mouth

the way calloused hands hold heartbeats
eyes laid to rest
every irrational fear that held me back from my very best

who i am is not who i was
that much is true
and i fear often times
that self love is over-due

Jesus made me special
like that one children’s church song
“he loves the little children”
the lyrics aren’t wrong

i place my hand on the mirror
can you see me now?

i’m bright, bold with energy
incredibly smart
and as i look in the mirror
i wish to impart

just one simple thing
that’s all i ask
that you would love who you are
because your life is precious – like those marbles of glass

if we cannot love ourselves
is it that we do not love ourselves
or what if our cup that once was overflowing
has been broken, destroyed in some way shape or form?

the only true repair
to mend all those broken shards
is through Jesus
our savior
who created that piece of art

because the worth is still there
wether you see it or not
because you are winning battles
no-one else knew you ever fought

@whalekeeper Hey! I’m doing well!! I actually am making quite a bit if progress on my series! I’m doing some late-night sprints – mid-day sprints – ect. I also have an anthology that I’ve been curating coming up in the fall and I’m super excited about that! That, and books sales are steady and that’s been a huge blessing! How are you doing? Currently I have a job with a business that makes herbal salve, but I’m probably going into the State Parks to become a ranger there, either that, or waitressing at a local diner.
