Yep!
I suppose we could. I’m preoccupied today and tomorrow at least, but anyone can do it.

I will be on a week long vacation starting tomorrow. I am not sure how much of an internet connection there will be. But please continue when you feel up to it! If I do not reply within 24 hours, assume I’m out of reach.
On the bright side, it’s a quiet beach house and I’ll surely have time to write all day.

Yup. Some people who attend my church fell into the Occult before they became Christians, and they blame it on Narnia.
Oh! Well. All the more to my point. There are book series that I, also, try not to reference in front of others too often because it makes them uncomfortable.

Heya, guys? Just want to point out the moderators were active over the past day or so. And I think I know what they were fixing. There’s a new “newest member.” Maybe they fixed the issue with making new accounts!
Does your sister have an account now? If she doesn’t – potentially try requesting again?

I’m worried that I’m sending little messages that this sin really isn’t so bad or evil.
I really don’t think you have to worry about this unless the MC doesn’t face consequences.
Every MC lives with internalized beliefs, some right and some wrong, and if you’re telling the story from the MC’s perspective – they’re not exactly going…[Read more]

Wow. Yup, Green Beret. He did die in the Middle East, but I don’t think it specified a place or operation.

XD Well good! Glad it was helpful. Don’t worry too much over the whole “Gracious but this draft needs so much work” problem. You’ve already put in a ton of work and learned so much just to get to this point in the drafting process. You can do this! It’s worth it. (
plus, hey, we’re all in this thing too…writer’s are crazy)Just goes to…

Your advice is so so helpful!!
And it drew attention to a weaker part of my book—my FMC identifying the lie she’s been believing and accepting the truth. That turn-around moment is a part I’m still working on, so you pointing that out is awesome. I think right now she’s just been living this lie without experiencing any consequ…[Read more]

And I would like to throw in something that might be totally unrelated to what you’re dealing with, but it was a bit of a shock to me and had me seriously rethinking how I address certain topics in my books.
(Warning. Mentions of suicide.)
In my recent Psychology class we discussed aproaches to suicide awareness, and the results were mildly…[Read more]

This is a very good question.
But I suppose it comes down to what the reader sees is going on and what the character sees–and those don’t have to be the same. In this case, shouldn’t be.
I’m in the middle of rereading Screwtape Letters. One of the letters tells about how that sin has pleasure attached, and how that pleasure actually…[Read more]

Hey guyssss! (I tried to post this two days ago but didn’t copy what I wrote, so I gave up after it didn’t post 😭😂 So we shall try again!)
In the third draft of my novel, my FMC’s arc includes her making some bad decisions and going down a path she regrets. But in the midst of the aftermath of those decisions, she is actually kind of enjoy…[Read more]

Moth
It was Lois. Now without his metal man, and focused on the bountiful food spread, the boy gave Moth a friendly glance. His dark, curly hair framed a pair of glasses, and his eyes had the hollowed look of someone with a lot on their mind.
“I did. And you found yours?” Moth asked.
Lois nodded.
Moth nodded too. He had the pac…[Read more]
