I don’t mind extensive conversation scenes. But some others might not.maybe you could have this conversation later on, (if at all) but no pressure.
Thanks for sharing that clip!
You are very welcome! Have you seen the movie? (Courageous) If not, you really should. It’s pretty amazing. So is the movie Fireproof, which is my all…[Read more]

I’m sorry, I can’t help you much here. I’ve never done this. Maybe you could ask your dad?
Haha! Well I didn’t expect help on that part!! lol.
I would like the scene where Aaron goes up to Sabina and asks her about marriage and see the conversation they have.
Ugh. You would say you wanted me to write that scene.
Grrrr. Okay,…[Read more]

Oh someone wants to talk XD Okay
And yes, we should definitely avoid sinning, but that is not the only thing God requires of us. We are told to glorify God in what we eat and drink, and whatever else we do 1 Corinthians 10:31. This is a command, not a statement of the way things are. We need to actively seek to Glorify God. If…

Yup, I agree. When I was in elementary school, we had comics in our workbooks about Christian kids who always did the right thing. I understand they were trying to encourage us to do good as well, but it was a little annoying that only the kids who were not Christians did wrong (and they would do the wrong thing every time).…

(In other words, is he trying to be disciplined in fighting his worry, but forgetting to be dependant on God to help him (which seems quite likely since he is struggling with doubt itself))
100% Yes.
I know I’m not much of a romance guy, but even I wanted to see this in developed scenes instead of a summary. I want to see t…

Nah, just call him Alan. That’s his name after all. I mean, people don’t refer to you as “The Canadian” or “The guy with the wired way of measuring fences” or, “The guy with a part time job” lol.
They call you Justin, or Linus. those are your names/nicknames/online-names. but they are still your names.
Just call him Alan.

OK, I’m back. new section, and would really love feedback on this because It’s still in a stage where I would be wil;ling to change or tweak things.
It was a long week of prayer before Aaron spoke to Sabina about the idea of marriage. Sabina was very surprised, but Aaron had never seen her so joyfully since her…

The Ducktator started the topic Mini Adventure Ideas? in the forum Plotting 3 months ago
One of my WIPs is about a duck who wants to see the world, or at least part of it. Each chapter is a single adventure. Chapter One, in which Linda raids Walmart, can be found here: https://kingdompen.org/forums/topic/contemporary-duck-wip-the-chronicles-of-linda-rose/
Anyway, I’m stuck on ideas. Does anyone have any mini adventure ideas for a…[Read more]

I liked this!! I don’t know if I mentioned this yet, but when you refer to Alan as “the soldier” it kinda throws me, especially since 1) he has a name that we know, and 2) this is something you kinda just started.
other then that, no complaints.
(I notice you use a lot of British spellings. I’m guessing that’s Canadian?…[Read more] -

TheShadow replied to the topic Question Regarding Fantasy Books in the forum Mission, Calling & Ethics 3 months ago
Sorry this is late, this is answering the first question. I agree with everyone else, it isn’t the books fault. Yes, a book can influence how someone thinks but it’s what the person decides to do with that information and carrying it out, which is the person’s doing. If the main focus of the book is magic, then I would say that…[Read more]

the movie one are the only ones I could think of off the top of my head. I don’t have access to my laptop because we’re traveling so I couldn’t look at the composers of the non movie soundtracks.
I’ll probably read the chapter next week when we get home. Really looking forward to it!!

Also, when you get married young, it usually doesn’t last…people change so fast and the people I’ve talked to that got married young say that if they could have done it over, they would have married the same person, but waited a LOT longer.
this is completely untrue and is a lie our society wants us to swallow.
