@linus-smallprint well you don’t have to change any of yours if that’s what you mean!! I like them and they’re pretty original as they are.

Oh, btw, did you see that Joe Sutphin also did Watership Down as a graphic novel?!?! We have several copies of that one too. He is such a good artist!

Yay!!! I think it fulfills two needs for us the readers if Stripe gets hugged. 1.) It’s super funny to see tough protective characters get hugged. 2.) I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m about ready to risk the claws to give him a hug myself. He needs it.
(Plus, he looks super soft and fluffy) 😛

Whoa. There is nothing else in my book that causes it to stand out?!?
There’s a lot that causes your book to stand out. All of the different species you’ve come up with, for example, and the complex characters. The plot is original, your narration is funny and fresh, and thus far it’s a unique story!
We all really just want a…[Read more]

Tell you what. One of you draw a picture of this and I will see if I can work it in somewhere.
You’re so mean.
I don’t draw dogs, or anything in the dog family if I can help it. It never looks right.
Whoa. There is nothing else in my book that causes it to stand out?!?
I hope you know I was joking.
It would be a killer…[Read more]

@linus-smallprint Cool, and thank you for the tips! I did the same when naming my creatures:
- “Drachenheul” is somewhat-butchered German for “dragon howl” cause those creatures are part-wolf and part-dragon (besides their human part). The reason I chose German was because that’s the nationality of the character who inspired the species, plus…

I did a few more tries on the cover with fonts. How about these? They seem better!
And yes, I would put the numbers on the side. The series name and number feel to crammed on the top.
Okay, good. I’ll work off of the third one.

@linus-smallprint ohhh, ok, still awesome though.
also vandegrit isn’t a bad name for a creature, even if you do end up changing it. How do you come up with these names?

I KNOW!
Linus, make some little kid hug Stripe, or we poor authors will be driven insane by the beautiful mental picture and lost opportunity that you sidestepped!! That one scene will make these books famous! If you leave it out, the books will slide into the shadows.
You have been warned.
lololol

@linus-smallprint I love them!!
Please tell me you kept Stripe’s glasses (or at least have another bespectacled Kunulf in the story somewhere, if you didn’t) cause I love the look of it.
also Martha’s “vunny hug” clothing and your explanation of why it’s called that is really cool.
does that imply that a “vunny” exists? some animal, maybe?

Noooo…… I don’t think so.
Aaron is the lead.
Turin was the ally.
Then Noah and Darrien became the Allies.
Joseph is the lead of the next book.
Sabina was the love interest/ally
Yeah. No one else I can think of.
I mean, Asher and Eric play more prominent rolls later on, but they had pretty small parts in this…[Read more]

That’s what I was thinking.
I’m going to try it a few different ways and then see what everyone thinks.
