K y’all, here’s the next part. @linus-smallprint @savannah_grace2009 @theshadow
As Aaron stood and spoke to the people, he knew this time something was different. He could feel the Lord working among them, and he could see in their expressions that their eyes were being opened.
By noon, several villagers had come to faith, and once it started, it…

Haha, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Sabina…. poor girl. You can see she loves her brother dearly, and she was very frightened for him. But, she also feels betrayed. Poor thing, she’s so tangled up…[Read more]

@linus-smallprint cool! They have ice cream in this universe?
(I’ve actually been thinking of doing something like this for my characters.)

OCD is my main drive right now for suresies XD Hope you find this a useful point of help for book 2! If you ever want opinions on story structure or anything outline, that’s exactly why I made this.
Throw up all the ideas on a wall, and get them out of your head so that you can think a little more.
Exactly, it…[Read more]

What animal, color, object and/or character do you picture yourself as? For instance, when I was little, I pictured myself as purple…or a purple dragon depending on my mood (can you tell what my fav color is? XD) not literally, but internally.Does that make more sense?

@linus-smallprint @highscribeofaetherium and TECHNICALLY the word “LEGO” should refer to the company. We should be calling them “LEGO bricks” if we wanna be as correct as possible.
lol I’ve always called them Legos, and I’m obsessed with correct grammar most of the time, so…..

@linus-smallprint you too

Could you elaborate some more, please? Do you mean do we picture ourselves as a character, an object, a colour or an animal? Or do you mean when we picture ourselves as an animal, what animal do we picture ourselves as? And, if this is the case, for character, do you mean how we picture what we might be like as a character, or what character from…[Read more]

Um… Okay. Here we go.
Character:
This is how I imagine my Linus Smallprint Persona, the voice I narrate my books. A balance between witty and trustworthy. The type of person who wears spectacles on the end of his nose, looking overtop of them with a kind, knowledgeable smile. You can expect him to have a bit of nerdy fun, but to also…[Read more]

no I’m doin some kind of wacky drawing of some kind of reality where 16 KPers are what I would imagine them being if they were animals, people or objects and stuff…makes no sense, but I promise it will be funny (maybe a little offending to some people but…I’m gonna do it anyway.)

Hehehe…

“Lyen names” is good, especially if it works for your world. Random thought, this topic reminded me of a character from Tintin, he usually says “blistering barnacles!”

Ellette Giselle replied to the topic Wholesome Exclamations in the forum General Writing Discussions 4 months, 1 week ago
I think “Lyen names” is fine. It’ like “Fay’s teeth” from what I understand.
-
TheShadow replied to the topic Wholesome Exclamations in the forum General Writing Discussions 4 months, 1 week ago
Hmm, yeah this specific topic can be hard. “Great snakes” is one exclamation I don’t think sounds like a swear word. Shakespearean words may also be a good substitute, although they might sound a little silly. “Balderdash” and “zounds” could be used too.

Sara replied to the topic Wholesome Exclamations in the forum General Writing Discussions 4 months, 1 week ago
My mom says “good gravy!” XD XD
I have a friend who once said “I don’t give two flying squirrels”. I mean it kind of is like you’re trying to cuss without actually doing it, but I still thought it was funny lol
I just make up swear words with my fantasy language. That way my characters can “swear” without actually being…[Read more]

Some of my pets are “Good grief” which can be an exclamation, a groan, or an angry shout. Also “Shoot,” “Arrrrgh!” (Like a pirate,) which can be used in times of frustration. “Blast” “Oh Blast” and “Blast it!” which are all British. Also “Cripes” or “Crikey!” and also “Fay’s teeth!” (A dangerous type of fairy in Scottish…[Read more]

Ok, yes there is humor, especially from Friedrich’s mentor and ally, though he himself is pretty funny at times, and Christine can be too. The humor is not the main point of the story though. It’s the salt to the meal. ya…[Read more]

@linus-smallprint lol when Oliver says “It’s good” and the narrator, whoever they are, says “He’s lying, it’s delicious” got me.
ooh also! I have an idea. I noticed lyen names are always lion-related, like you said, but I realized there’s only so many words you can use and you’d have to have a TON of repeats. So I thought, how about use other…[Read more]

YESSSSSSSSSS I LOVE THAT SCENE!!!!!!!!!
in case you didn’t notice.
Wow! I love these thoughts! Everything that you said was EXACTLY spot on to what I wanted you (the reader) to get from this scene! I LOSE IT when characters become super Christians, cupids and choir boys, or milksops after they become Christians. I think I…[Read more]

Also, Ellette, don’t be too creeped out. I’m not trying to figure out your darkest secret or something I PROMISE!!!! If you wish to know what I’m up to, I suppose you do have the right. But unless you ask, I’m not tellin’ until I either fail completely or accomplish my plan!
@rae
Ummm, this is getting worse. Accomplish plan???? What plan? I don’t remember if I trust you. lol.
Ok, I’ll let it alone for now.
normal me not helping the situation at all…
@rae
I am interested in what you’re up to though!
@ellette-giselle It’s a drawing. Basically I got this idea and I’m having a Smeagol-Gollum moment telling myself to do it and not to do it, so of course I’m gonna do it until i totally fail.
@rea
Ok now you HAVE to do it, because I’m super interested.
I would picture myself as a wild white horse with a long main and tail, super slender and fast.
And then what do you mean as a character? Like make up a character that would be me, or chose one from a book or movie?
@ellette-giselle
The character doesn’t matter as much now that I have SOMETHING. You can still give one though if you wish, and it can be whoever from wherever.
Are you thinking arabian?
@rea
I might like a character better, but if you would rather do a horse that’s fine. Sure, it could be Arabian. I’m kinda mixing a few breeds in my mind when I picture such a horse.
If I were a character she would be the girl with the very long light blond hair pulled back in a braid, or perhaps falling lose. She would where an ice-blue…[Read more]
