Hello there! Welcome to Kingdom Pen!
You can call me Linus Smallprint. I am also a web developer/designer trying to get into software development. As a hobby, I am also an artist my skills are beyond pencil drawings and learning digital art and maybe watercolour as well. Since I have an account on this website, you can probably…[Read more]

Up to you. Just as long as you submit it before the deadline.

Okay. Now I see he is Tech for The Bad Batch, right? (I don’t have any streaming services, and have not seen this show.)
I’ve heard Procreate is a good drawing software. I would use it, except I do not have an iPad. I currently use Clip Studio Paint, but have been looking into Sketchbook Pro recently.

Just a friendly reminder. There are 5 days left to submit a drawing of Charles.

Five/twelve protagonists? That’s a lot. This must be a pretty big project.

1. Summarize your project in a paragraph or two! Like on the back of a book.
The Narrow Path Trilogy –Â Book 1: The Cost
“Alan Wherl has made the grave mistake of using the twisted magic of his world, which has left him forever scarred. He is no longer entirely human and is viewed as a monster by society. Worse, his parent were both consumed by…[Read more]

Thank you for sharing! What did you use to colour Tech?

You were fast! I can’t give you feedback yet, of course, but I will say I would not mind seeing the coloured version of this once you are done. Say, did you post all those drawings you wanted to during Wyoh’s assault?

I finished reading the chapters you shared. As I’ve said before, you have an interesting world and concepts.
Your robot character, Thing, reminds me of that annoying NPC character in video games who is supposed to help you but ends up only being annoying, forcing you to go through tutorials for things you already know and not…[Read more]

I’m going to go foe a character named Charles. You are missing some context for this, so I will try to provide a little, but this character I have not shown any artwork for yet and I have a pretty good picture of him in my mind.
The context you need is that those who use magic in this world are corrupted and turn into crow-like monsters called…[Read more]

I’m back, after a busy weekend! A lot of you are interested in this art challenge, so I will go ahead and submit the…[Read more]

Hello everyone!
I have a fun idea for a challenge to exercise both drawing and writing skills. The idea is this, someone posts a description of a character he or she has yet…[Read more]

Linus Smallprint replied to the topic Any tips for writing serious characters? in the forum Characters 1 year, 11 months ago
Perfect! Not only are wolves my favourite animal, but I think a lone wolf is a good pet for your character. The animal is a good reflection of your character’s lonely nature since wolves are social animals. Wolves are also seen as dangerous, reflecting how your character sees himself as dangerous. Perhaps he sees a bit of himself in…[Read more]

Continuing our conversation from ‘Hello, there!’ in ‘Start HERE’.
I also support the not helping them thing, there’s lots of curses in scripture that are never lifted, such as the fall (of course this is lifted through Christ, and will be conqured in the end, but from a purely temporal prospective at least.)
That’s the idea. I h…[Read more]

Not sure where to intrude on a form for worldbuilding, so I will just start my own for my series: The Narrow Path Trilogy.

Great review. This is pretty much what I expected. It’s interesting that you brought up the lying thing, since Tress kinda did that as well, where as her character got more mature, she was more and more willing to bend the rules of what she thought were hard lines of right and wrong.
It did not bother me as much in Tress. This w…[Read more]
