Just finished reading what you posted. So far I like it. What time period would this take place in? I’m imagining Arron in a T-shirt for some reason, but I highly doubt this is set in recent times. In some ways, this reminds me of the books my sister writes. She also writes stories that take place in fictional worlds but could…[Read more]

Looking and squinting at your cover, my eye goes right to the character’s faces. Good. I think the colour contrast is good. I wonder if there is a way to make the title stand out more from the illustration. I think @koshka has some good advice for improvement.
Now I know you are not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but…[Read more]

Linus Smallprint replied to the topic Do You Use Fantasy Maps? in the forum Fantasy 1 year, 9 months ago
I usually don’t look at the maps, but I do like having them. There have been some books lacking them, and that makes it confusing to look at where everything is. In the series I am currently reading, I have referenced the map only a few times. I just finished book three. I am more likely to look at a map if it has some illustrations…[Read more]

Thank you all for showing interest in following TNPT. Here is Chapter the 6th! The link is set to expire on August 12. Please let me know what you think of the three groups mentioned. Also, I am curious to know what you think of Alan’s character so far. I feel like I have the…[Read more]

Thank you for the challenge and the feedback! I like the shading of the hair on your drawing. This character is a lot darker than he appears to be, isn’t he?

I think I started using Reedsy because of your suggestion. I like it a lot, it has a nice design and it is good to have everything in one place, which makes it convenient. Sharing chapters is very easy! It does have its downs, like limited formatting and sometimes it is a little annoying to get around, but I have switched to…[Read more]

Yeah, I kind of imagine Oliver’s tail might thump along behind him as he is descending a stair case.
I am working on Chapter the 6th right now. I hope to finish it by Saturday.
Thank you! Glad you are enjoying it.
Hmm…
Is it that I am spending too much time explaining things, introducing too many things, or a bit of…

Oh! You’re reading the first chapter! Wow that was some time ago.
I was on vacation last week, and am catching up on posts where people tagged me.
Ah yeah, sorry about that. And yes, the reason Sara couldn’t hide was because Don had to stall the agents while Sara closed the hiding place. You see, they all three were supposed to…

Looking back, I think I may have interpreted Sara and Jonathan’s mother as two separate characters. Whoops.

First time on the Chat Chat. I’m feeling a little overwhelmed…
I read the chapters you posted. Poor Jonothan. And I thought my character had a tragic backstory! I am wondering though, did Don know that he, his wife, and his daughter would all be killed? If so, why did he not hide his wife and daughter as well?

I did have some time to work on a sketch. I’m also experimenting a bit with coloured pencils here. Sorry, as you can see, I did not color the whole thing and did not clean it up either. Please use the drawing at the top left for my submission.
