@ellette-giselle @keilah-h @theducktator
Thank you all!
Ellette, I saw you said you have an obsession with any period-style clothing. Do you have any feedback on Alan’s outfit? I’ve tried to combine medieval fantasy with a military uniform from the late 19th century.
I also would not mind colour suggestions for Alan’s clothing if anyone has any.

Your art is not bad. Don’t get discouraged because others post something that you think looks better.
A lot of what Ellette said is true for me too. One time, I took advantage of my family being away to pull out a hidden stash of terrible drawings and character ideas that at one time were cool, but looking back on them, they were quite…[Read more]

Here is some new artwork of Alan I’ve gradually been chipping away at when I have the chance over the last few weeks. I’ve been meaning to redo artwork of him with a more refined design for a while, I just have not been satisfied with most things I have drawn. Now I finally have something I’m happy with. I’m considering developing this further…[Read more]

I’m just going to pretend the conversation above does not exist. What conversation, you ask? I have no idea.

Ooh! I like how kunulfs, since they are cursed creatures that aren’t as God originally designed them, have messed up backbones by design. It makes it feel a bit more biologically sound, y’know?
That’s the idea. Book two and three are going to play with this more.
That voice clip you shared, that’s fun. I imagine him with a higher mor…[Read more]

1. How does Rour feel about Oliver? Does he hate him, or are they on good terms? If Oliver is playing victim along with Tyn, (and he seems to be doing a good job of that) Could you switch this conversation to have it between Rour and Oliver?
That is an excellent idea! I was just thinking Rour would talk to Tyn more because of…[Read more]

one thing I would say is that if she wasn’t a Kentor and he wasn’t a Lyen I would think Rour had feelings for Tyn. Like romantic ones. To put it this way, if these were people I would say this is a total romance waiting to happen. Or else a complete villain after the heroin. The thing that makes this weird is I don’t know if the d…

Hello Rax! Welcome to Kingdom Pen!
You can call me Linus. I am a fantasy writer/artist currently working on a series I call The Narrow Path Trilogy (or TNPT for short). I also double as a web designer/computer software student.
You’re probably going to get a few newby questions. I’ll kick it off with these:
What is your favourite…[Read more]

I was hoping to get this to you earlier, but I was having trouble writing the dialogue in this chapter for whatever reason. I’m still not quite happy with the first part or my title for this chapter, but let’s see what you all think.
Hopefully Chapter the 20th – The…[Read more]

Oh, btw, did you see that Joe Sutphin also did Watership Down as a graphic novel?!?! We have several copies of that one too. He is such a good artist!Â
I did see that. I also recently discovered that he is doing or did a Little Christmas Carol. I wish he would keep the artwork page on his website updated. I missed these releases e…[Read more]

Okay, I can see why you were saying the series title was making it too crowded.
You could try something like this:
Let There be Light
------ * ------
The Flames of Hope Saga (I/1/: Book I/: Book 1)
Or find some way to work tis in with the fancy layout that your title currently has. You could also put the 1 or I in the middle the…[Read more] -

Okay. Grabbing the names of different species from different sources of inspiration is a good idea since they probably all have different cultures and it would be a little weird and boring. Nice!

That last one, I don’t really like the way your name is done, but I think the layout of the title is nice! I like how it flows with the picture. Maybe if you put your name in the font it is on the 4th version of your cover?

Yes, I did know Ellette was joking.
(The problem with these forum chats is it can be hard to portray emotion. Prehapes I should use more emojis or something.)
You’re so mean.
I don’t draw dogs, or anything in the dog family if I can help it. It never looks right. – Ellette
Sorry, can’t help you there XD

also vandegrit isn’t a bad name for a creature, even if you do end up changing it. How do you come up with these names?
Sure, I’ll share with you my fantasy name tips. I’ve come up with a few over the years.
For Kentor things, I take a word that somehow represents the character or item and translate it into Latin. But Latin is boring b…[Read more]

Of the covers you provided, I like version 4 the best. It feels the most balanced and official to me. I like the font and the chosen colour for your name. I’m not sold on the outline you have on the font on the bottom, but not entirly against it either. I understand why you are doing it: so that we can see the words,
Did you…[Read more]

I don’t know why, but this whole time I have really, really wanted one of the characters to give Stripe a hug. Like one of the little kids. It would be so cute, especially because he does not seem lie a hugs person, yet his protector side wouldn’t let him hurt a little kid. lol. – Ellette
Now that I’ve read ellett…
