or you could have some sort of wicked lightning scar that goes up his back and twists around one or both of his shoulders.
That’s not quite how wizard scars work. I’m still figuring things out, but whenever someone uses magic, his body is attacked. The crystal he is connected to ‘heals’ him, drawing information form both the…[Read more]

Must it be a hand or foot?
You got a better idea? Maybe he could have a scar around hie eye and match with the dude I posted a picture of in my previous post. He’s already got similar hair.
Who said I did bad things to my characters?!?
Hmmmm….
if it were one of the other I say the hand. Two reasons. One, it’s going to make it s…

You’ve never licked cuts as a kid?
Nope.
I knew it. I knew it. As I was posting that I was thinking, “grrr, Alcatraz ruined perfectly good expressions referring to shock and surprise.”
Yup.

@ellette-giselle @stephie @theducktator
(Not sure if Keilah has read everything yet, so I won’t tag her.)
Question. Since Alan is using magic again, he is going to get some more wizard scars. I’m trying to decide what to go with, and I have a couple of options I think would be interesting. Here they are:
- Hand: His right hand will become like…

I don’t know. Make it look like I was so depressed I lost that person close to me that I became focused on the fighting ring and paid my debt with my life. But how to do that exactly, I’m not sure.

Leon nodded. “I am tired of it. You know, there’s not much more I could wish for then a home of my own. A place to settle and say, ‘this home is mine, this house is mine, these fields are mine, this family is mine.’” Leon paused, and when he spoke again his voice had dropped to a lower, almost sad tone. “With the way things are…

Yes, I had pro for a year. I like it, but I would prefer to hand draw my own map (especially if it will appear in my book.)
I have considered drawing my own trees, mountains, etc, uploading the drawings in Inkarnet, then using the tools there to make my own map, put I never got around to it.

Alan, must you do something stupid????😩 This is so not going to end well.
No. But don’t we all do stupid things anyway?

Also, I love the map! I don’t know, something about maps of fantasy worlds just gets at me. *Smiles dreamily, looking back towards The Lord of the Rings* I also like the name Huntt for a town; it just seems to fit.
I love the map!!!
Thanks, both of you! One of these days, I will actually make the up-to-date version.

Yes it does, thank you! I will come back to this later and come up with some ideas.

By the way, how did native-to-Earth animals get to Ehverwyld? I can see the otherworldly animals like vandergrits and dragons having been there since that world’s creation, but what about the crows and horses, etc.? Did they come through the same portals that humans did, but by sheer accident? Or were they created there (Like God just k…

good. Good! I’m so glad this scene works well! “touch down Tulip!!” (Storks if you haven’t scene the movie that quite come from)
Have seen that, but it’s been a while. (5 more minutes, and then we stop!)
I’m surprised there was no comment on the Julian/Joseph conversation.
was it good? Does it fit?Think so. It makes sense that…[Read more]

that’s what (frustratingly) keeps me from being able to say this scene doesn’t work.
Part of my mission as an author is to get Christians to consider things they wouldn’t normally do and to think about them. Now that Alan’s joined The Faithful, we are starting to get into this. (Once I am done with this draft, I will write up a…[Read more]

Thank you for the feedback!
Why does the crow seem to be sentient? Why does it want him to use the magic? Is this something all crows do or just this one?
I can only answer the last question. This is unusual behaviour for a crow in Ehverwyld. Most of their crows are just like ours. Smart for birds, but not sentient.
Who is Iskyagus?…

So, Joseph deftly avoided contact with her, and the days dragged into eternity.
Not an easy task since they are living in the same house. No wonder it felt like an eternity.
Eric says to tell you that he is sure he’s taller than you.
A great accomplishment.
Let’s see, he said he used proverbs, especially 31, he used Timothy, Titu…

Also, thank you for saying something again. I was growing a little worried that no one other than Ellette was still reading since she has been the only one to respond for the past few chapters. So I’m glad to know you are still reading!

Let’s be honest. This wasn’t surprising, was it? Rour warned you several times.
You can successfully torture your readers.
It’s part of the job.
What do you think of Alan’s logic for deciding to go back?
Just met the second crow, but I’m pausing to call something.
I think it’s his mother.
Maybe.
Maybe indeed, Ell…[Read more]

So basically role playing Among Us, but you don’t know if you are the imposter or not? That’s sus.
Thank you for the invitation, but I think I will sit this one out. I won’t be able to participate much once school comes back in full swing, and right now, I would like to focus on finishing the second draft of my WIP. I hope it…[Read more]
