Nice, I am glad to know I’m not the only Canadian and non-Amarican on here.

Linus Smallprint replied to the topic How do you world build? in the forum General Writing Discussions 1 year, 1 month ago
I’m more into creating characters and stories than worldbuilding. Although I have done a bit. I do like fantasy races and did spend a bit of time on those. But typically for my worldbuilding, I only do it when necessary. And I will often get distracted with writing the story itself. When I do world build, I base it on what I know about…[Read more]

oh I think we have about………… 100 kids and young adults and maybe 25 parents. (our family of 6 is the smallest family in the church. the average is about nine kids,)
That’s a nice size. I think we have about 600-900 people on a Sunday. It’s hard to get to know everyone in a congregation of that size. I often say now, ‘I don’t k…[Read more]

One of our foreign pastors was killed a week or so ago, and the pastor closest to him got a death threat. There is always this real sense of “oh, somebody in our church may have actually known him,” or at least been very familiar with his work.
Oh. I’m sorry about that. That’s scary. I tend to think of missionaries being killed as a t…[Read more]

In Canada, the problem that I’m noticing is the stuff with residential schools.
Hold on, are you Canadian as well?
Yeah, I agree with you on the whole ‘Truth and Reconciliation’ thing. This world needs Christ, which is why we are to be salt and light to it.

I have never heard of it, but I was shocked when I saw that your pastor was thrown in prison… – Kefa
Yes. We shut down our church for the first few months, but then our pastor went, ‘No. This is wrong. The church needs to meet.’ so we opened it back up. We got the attention of the government an…[Read more]

Good memes today. I like the one about the brain not letting you sleep and the pins and needles when waking up.
Sorry, don’t really get any of yours.

What is your denomination?
Our church says we are non-denominational, but in reality we are a MacAurturite/Grasist church. (I made both those terms us, so you might not find either on the internet.) Our church follows what John MacAurthur’s church does. Grasist churches tend to have the word Grace in the name (Grace Community, GraceLife [which i…[Read more]

Hey, nice website! I love how you incorporated your drawings into that section about personal values.
Thank you. The instructor of my portfolio course pushed us to make our websites stand out by showing we were more than just coders.
That would be amazing. There has to be some way to contact them about this properly.
I’ve tried…[Read more]

Yup, that’s me. Sorry, in my third year of college now. I am currently 21. That picture was taken when I was 20. I look younger than I am.

Okay. Revising is fine, I have a lot of changes between my first and second draft of TNPT. I will continue reading then. Reading the second chapter, I see it is a scene you had in your previous draft now. I’ll get back to you when I have more thoughts.

There is crimsoninkmedia.com, a website run by a gentleman in my church. However, this is less of a website for Christian authors to connect and more for sharing your work. I also don’t know if he intends to open it up to people he doesn’t know personally. I also don’t know how well he is maintaining the website right now. He…[Read more]

Started reading through your book, but have some confusion. I had started to read something you were working on around August and September last year before you decided to take a break. Is this the sequel you are working on now? Could I get the link to finish the first book please before I read the next?
I noticed you have…[Read more]

Sure, I can. I’m taking a break from my own WIP, so I definitely have some time to read through it. The link is the one on your profile page?

Sorry, I forgot about your question regarding a book that turns into a fantasy book part way through.
I haven’t read A Series of Unfortunate Events, but I have read some other books where reality becomes fantasy. Here are some ideas for you for your foreshadowing:
