I updated Chapter the 13th with your suggestions. Would you mind taking a look at it again please and see if this is working better? (The only parts I changed were from right after the description of Charles to when he begins to tell his story, so don’t worry about the rest of the chapter.)
Also, on a side note, I still have not…[Read more]

If I’m going to be blunt here, reading it I felt like you as the author felt an obligation to let me know that I am still aloud to read fantasy books, so you through that in and then moved on.
Honestly, that was the obligation I felt writing this, so no wonder you picked that up from reading it.
So yeah, I would 100% recommend m…

Also, none of this will really be in the story anywhere, but for the sake of completeness I like having as much of my worldbuilding planned out as I can, so I could honestly forgo the topic completely and it won’t change the storyline.
Honestly, I don’t really know why I’m so concerned about this, considering I only have one story set i…

It’s very good, but the whole reading fantasy seemed like you started to go into it and then pulled back and skirt5ed the whole problem. I feel like if it’s going to be there at all it needs more. At the moment it feels kinda like “Why?” If you have nothing more to say on the matter, I would consider cutting it.
Hmm. I didn’t…[Read more]

I seem to remember you saying you were developing your style. Is your drawing the result? It looks really good.

Here is my take on Prince Fried Rich. I was going to give him light brown pants, but I did not have a good pencil crayon for that, so I switched to black. Anyway, I think he needs some pointy ears and a ridiculous amount of equipment on his back, eh?

Longest chapter yet. Finally, we are starting to get into some Christian themes (turn your heresy radar on). I will try to get Chapter the 15th – The Saviour to you later this week.

I had an idea as to how all these creatures came about, and it has to do with the fact that their history is just a sci-fi version of ours. All the species are descended from humans and can hybridize with them and each other. My thought was “what if this was part of their version of the Tower of Babel event?” Like, at first there was onl…

Just was wondering if Aaron might feel a little weird about being a Dad to Joseph because of the small age gap and perhaps promise to be a big brother to the boy instead, but seems you are heading in the direction of Aaron and Sabina getting married and being parents to Joseph.

He’s ten….. unless that seems to old for the way he acts.
Nahw, it works. My 14-year-old brother still gives us ‘simple’ solutions to problems that make sense to him so that he can do what he wants. Thankfully, none of them have involved me getting married.
The reason why I asked is with only a 9-year gap between him and Aar…[Read more]

Noah’s trickery, which he learned when gambling, has now become a way to entertain children. I like it!
“Then get married,” replied Joseph.
Ah, the little boy who knows everything and has a ‘simple’ solution to every problem. I know this character. Remind me, how old is Joseph? 10 or 11, right?
Looking forward to the next part.

A couple of quick questions.
- Does Friedrich, as a prince, ever train with a sword? If so, what type of sword?
- What is the heraldry of Friedrich’s kingdom?

Forks? Information on how to hurt people with them? What… has happened here?
Anyway, thank you all for your help. I think I need to think about this a bit more. A couple of you were asking if in the stories magic was a natural ability for the heroes. The stories I currently have are either…[Read more]

oh, and your thing about puns being lost in translation was hilarious. I like how the narrator, whoever he is (or she? It feels like a he for some reason), is actually addressing the reader sometimes.
I was hoping someone would comment on that. It’s a pet peeve of mine when kids go through portals to other world and the characters the…[Read more]

Hello everyone. I have a question. In the book I am working on, magic is an evil thing. It twists its users into monsters. My protagonist, Alan, has used some of this magic and become a wizard. He regrets it deeply.
In the chapter I am currently writing, he finds another wizard who, after using magic, became one of The Faithful (What Christians…[Read more]

I knew they were the faithful the minute I met Martha and Eric I knew it! I honestly did!
He he!
Hmm, I like Stripe. He’s going to be an interesting character.
He was the only character that I was not cringing at when rereading my first draft. Also, of all my characters in TNPT, he is probably the one I came up with first. I’m g…[Read more]
