@bluejay That verse pretty much sums this topic up for me. 😉
But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give an account of it in the day of judgement. For by you words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. ~ Matthew 12:36-37

Where is it!!!!!! @zoe-wingfeather (Wait. Ha. I just realized your tag!!!!! That’s great!)
I really need that ending. I was so devastated when Janner died. I was so ready for Kalmar to sacrifice himself, I was ready to cry, we were right at the part where he tells everyone to sing, and then I realized something. Janner had to be the one. It had…[Read more] -

IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THESE BOOKS AND HAVE NEVER READ THEM DO NOT READ THIS! I cannot stress that enough. If you haven’t read them, go away, read them, (they’re by Andrew Peterson) and come back when they’re done. Because there will most likely be spoiler alerts this thread, and you DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT want those for Wingfeather. If you…[Read more]

Also, on a lighter note, funny exclamations from fictional characters can be either good, or really lame. Like Trumpkin says things like ‘Beards and Bedsteads’ and stuff like that. But some people can not do it well, and it ends up sounding goofy and out of character. You know, like ‘Crackling Bacon!’ from a serious character can sound really…[Read more]

I do not know much about this at all, but I never use God’s name in vain, and I have basically no language at all in my books. I don’t even use shut up, like at all. I might be able to think of one place. I don’t have a problem with people that say dang or shut up, as long it’s not nasty/mean/degrading/evil, cause really it’s just slang, but I’ve…[Read more]

Okay, so I really like reading other people’s blogs/websites. My favorites are You Write Fiction, Writing in the Light, and Writefury. So I was looking for other Christian blogs to read, mostly about writing, and I wondered if anyone on here has one.
Now, I will not allow you to say, Oh, I know this girl who has a friend who has a good one.…[Read more] -

I am digging this up out of the archives of yesteryear cause I want to tell you all about a book I love, and it fits in this category. It’s called The Old River Road, about the author’s great-grandfather and grand-mother.
And what @hope said (I think) it continues the life of romance after the wedding. It starts with them courting, then married,…[Read more] -

I know.
*runs away to closet stuffed with chocolate so you won’t hear my fangirl screaming*
Seriously, why do we obsess over made up characters? Really, we’re obsessing and loving a bunch of pixels that appear on our scream, or if you prefer, a bunch of words that some cruel girl wrote? What makes us love them so much? WE don’t love them… we…[Read more] -

@ethryndal Eh, that’s okay. I think it just means you jump from character to character and show their different emotions, not just stick to one and write about how the other characters from their eyes. Not, ‘Caden gulped. “What did I say wrong?” he thought. Josiah looked like he was about to blow his top off’ but ‘Caden gulped. “what did I say…[Read more]

Hello and welcome to awesomest, craziest place on the internet! Glad to have you here. 😉 I write some poetry, too! You should submit some of your poetry to be published on KP (only if you WANT to, of course). 😀 By the way, what are your favorite books (this is one of the essential life questions that we all must come to terms with)? -
