@Dragon-Snapper *yelps and springs into the air with an indignant dragonish shriek, wringing her claws* THAT WAS MY FAVORITE THRONE.

*pokes head in*
*melts all ya’lls chairs* BWAHAHAHAAA!!! Finally, an excuse to melt @daeus and @kate-flournoy‘s chairs. It’s been a while.
Anyway, just saying that their needs to be an International Kapeefer library containing all the books that Kapeefers write. Basically, a library where anyone who wants to read good Christian fiction…[Read more]

Gaaahhh @Northerner “On Fairy Stories” and “Mythopoiea” are two of the most amazing things ever written. And YES. Tolkien liked his notes.

@Northerner *pounds table* AMEN, AMEN, AND AMEN.
Well, Tolkien has undoubtedly influenced me, but when I try to trace my intentions for this project back to wherever they’re rooted he actually doesn’t come into the picture much. I think… my whole life’s experience so far has been the influence for that idea. 😛 The storyworld began disgustingly…[Read more]

@Northerner Ha! 😂 Thank you. I really appreciate it. (I’m sorry too. But I forgive you. *magnanimous gesture* Gotta do whatcha gotta do. I hold out in the hope that maybe one day you’ll bring it to new life and I can do it again. Mostly for Deormod’s sake, you know.)
And I tag you for being a cool person who’s interested in old history and deep…[Read more]

Tagging @Daeus and @Hope for being the most amazing beta/alpha readers and writing buddies anyone could ever ask for. You guys have both seriously been major instruments in my writing journey and I wouldn’t be where I am without you.
Also tagging my numero uno fan, @Emma-flournoy. Yeah, yeah. We’ve said all the sappy stuff a million times over.…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper 😀 You’ll certainly be welcome to beta read it if you’d like. In the interest of full disclosure though, you should know it probably won’t be ready until the end of the year. Sorry, it’s going to be a long book. 😉

@SeekJustice *head swells at a prodigious rate* Well that made my day. Not to jeopardize the awesome-soundingness of it or anything, but I do feel obligated to mention that it sounds a lot better in theory than in actual writing…. *drops face-first onto desk and groans* The curse of all authors.
I shall save you a spot on the beta-readers list.…[Read more]

@ethryndal Nope. They’re probably better behaved than humans, actually. 😉

@Daeus Whoa, you mean I actually remembered the name correctly? That’s an unexpected plot twist.
Anyway. I love those things. I hardly even know what they are, but I love them.
(*sighs* Now after this admission of adoration, they’re probably going to end up being cannibals or something…)

@sam-kowal Wow. Yes, it’s exactly like Frodo’s wound. LOTR just keeps getting deeper and deeper.

@sam-kowal *bursts into laughter* You’re right on spot there with the hit and run synopsis.
Unfortunately for Stan, teedletiden are sentient beings and tend to run away when you try to keep them as pets.

@daeus 😀 😀 That would prove to be a bit of a problem.

Daeus replied to the topic What's Your WIP? in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years ago
@ethryndal Oh, yeah. The teedletiden are one of my fantasy races. They’re short and they live in the trees. I’m going to introduce them near the end of book one and I plan on hauling along one of them for the other two books.
