Fair enough. In my own defense, I do read the Bible, I’ve just chosen to guard my own heart against the “evil” in the Harry Potter books and enjoy it as a story instead. That’s how it was meant to be taken, after all.

Oh, definitely Percy. @epicaddie2 His character is just…awesome. That’s all there is to it. Percy Jackson is a great character.

Yep, that’s exactly what she means. @xonos-darkgrate
It’s funny you mention the argument behind not reading Harry Potter, because this is where my mother stood, up until the moment when I told her that I felt I was strong enough in my faith to not be effected in any way by reading about such witchcraft and magic. It took several conversations,…[Read more]

@Daeus Ohh…well. *scratches head* Well, do you think I should read it again for that? I don’t know if I have enough tiiiiiiime at the moment…but… Do you think it’s changed significantly enough that I’d need to see it again to give an accurate review? I know that would be the best thing, but if it isn’t changed a whole lot… I dunno. What do…[Read more]

@xonos-darkgrate That is so cool. INTJs are one of the neatest types. We have several on here, though only female as far as I know. Which are you? For some reason I thought you were a guy, but I don’t know.
And I identify with getting more than one result. 😛 I’ve gotten several different results, and with a lot of reading and thinking it over…[Read more] -

@Daeus to leave a review then, should I go sign up in the first link now? Or am I waiting till it’s closer to your release date, since I’ve already read it, or, what. 😀

@Warrioroftherealm I looooooovvvvve polictical intrigue, and everything Kate said and more. AS LONG as it’s character-driven, because if not then it turns more into uninteresting info-dumps like Snapper hates. And I don’t like ’em either.

@Leumeister I could help beta-read Aquila now if you’d like… Or if you’d rather I wait till the next draft since you’ve already have some people on it for awhile, that’s fine too. I’m just not beta-reading anything at the moment (which likely won’t last long 😉 ), so I thought I’d let you know. Whatever’s good for you. 😀

HA! Yes, that’s accurate.
Have you read the second series? The Lost Hero, Son of Neptune, Mark of Athena, House of Hades, and Blood of Olympus? That’s my favorite series. I love it very muchly.
Funny story: I was so excited when I got the House of Hades that when I took it out of the box, the first thing I did was go outside and spin in…[Read more]

*chokes* Oh, dear. Not the Percy Jackson movies…my heart…ouch. Those movies represent the first time in my life in which I was disappointed by a movie adaption. I was broken. @epicaddie2

@epicaddie2 I’m fairly certain that if you had to, you could go your entire life without seeing/reading Twilight. Seriously. It isn’t worth it. But the Hunger Games books are good, and the movies keep to the book-plot pretty well. I’d recommend the Hunger Games for sure.

I read all of the Twilight books. Only the second and fourth ones were really worth reading, though, and even they made me cringe. That being said, I have no interest in seeing the movies. I’d rather spend my time writing. *grins*
Yeah! The Hunger Games were actually pretty good. I think Catching Fire was my favorite book overall, just because it…[Read more]

I was a huge fan of TMR until I saw the movies. After that…well, I was scarred. But it was good while it lasted?

Oh dear. Twilight. *snorts* Rest in peace, you woefully neglected characters, full of life and wonderful potential…
I actually didn’t think the Hunger Games books were too terrible. They were each fun and exciting reads, just…stereotypically easy plot wise.
@xonos-darkgrate Ahem. I just realized I haven’t actually said hello, yet…hi, and…[Read more]

@epicaddie2 I’m glad I saw this. Do yourself a favor and don’t watch Scorch Trials. The movie is nothing like the book. And the cursing in it was pretty awful. *gets on her knees* Save yourself the pain…

@the-real-kapeefer I’m with you on the Jefferson thing. He’s a cool dude, they just don’t portray him like it in the musical. And I think we should point out that as history and the musical go to show…Hamilton himself wasn’t a great dude either.
