Thanks @kate-flournoy and @dekreel! Good advice. 😀 Theme… that’s what I was missing. Thanks Kate! @Dekreel, those are some good things to consider! Thanks!

      @kate-flournoy
I can’t wait to see you (and @emma-flournoy and the rest of the family) tonight! 😀

@graciegirl Thanks for sharing! I’m glad this thread has encouraged you. 😀 😀 I love those verses! In Bible Bee this summer Hebrews 3 and 4 were some of the chapters/passages we studied (btw I qualified!!!) and so I recognized some of them. 😀

@salome01W4G That is weird, but did you look on the side where it shows the percentages of the results? Maybe you’re only 51% introvert and 49% extrovert!

@catwing as far as I know, friending doesn’t do anything, it just makes you ‘popular’ if you have more friends that Kate Flournoy does. 😀 😀 😀 😀

@salome01W4G No, anyone can take the test and find out what their personality type is here:
http://www.16personalities.com It’s so cool! If you take it, though, make sure to take time to answer each question as truthfully as possible, and the results will be VERY accurate – and spooky too! 😀 😀

@joy Yes!! I think @emma-flournoy is probably the only one on KP that doesn’t write. Am I correct Emma?

@shannon I don’t know if it makes any difference, but I’ve been to Texas a couple times. 😀

@shannon dust, dirt, mountains, grass, little gas stations in the middle of nowhere, little small cactuses, and the shape of Texas with a cowboy hat leaning on the tip. 😀

@emily Ah, I just saw this! (And I love your new tag – it’s very easy to type + remember! 😀 😀 ) So I sent you a ‘friendship request’ and you should have already received an email that says somethin’ like “Kina Lamb requests your friendship’ or something along those lines. You just click on the link that is in the email and then you click ‘confirm friendship’ or something like that. I’m usually the one that initiates the friendship, so it’s been months and months since I’ve gotten an email like that and it would be almost impossible to sort through my pile of email and find one of them to use for reference, but I think if you follow those instructions you’ll be able to do it. If you need any help, I am almost positive that @kate-flournoy or @daeus could help you. Is that helpful?

@joy This is late and I haven’t read through the comments to see what everyone else has said, but welcome!! And thank you deeply for making your tag very short. I think everyone appreciates you already. 😀 😀 My middle name is Joy! Is that your first name or a nick-name or a middle name or no name at all? Joy seems to be my theme this year. I went through my blog posts a bit ago and realized that most of them this year have been on ‘joy.’ 😀 I just scrolled up and saw that you don’t play piano anymore. My brother Daeus did that too. 😀 Haha! And I *didn’t* and am SOOOOOOOOO glad I didn’t, because now I LOOOOVVVVEEEE to play the piano!!!! 😀

@salome01W4G I am ‘stremely late, but welcome! My brother, Daeus, writes historical fiction too. 😀 I write historical stories – is that what they’re called? Right now I’m ‘in the middle’ of writing a true story – my great-grandpa’s, in fact. I believe most of us on KP are homeschooled. 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 Which is really awesome. 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 You’ve most likely been asked already, but what’s your personality type, do y’know?

@EpicAddie2 *gasps* You’ve never participated? Do you live in the U.S.? If so, you can participate!!! And you should!!! You might already know this, but…. this is how BB works:

                              -You sign up
-You get a discovery journal and a small stack of memory verses to memorize
-From June 5 until 8 weeks later, (whenever that is!) you go through the discovery journal and memorize the verses
-At the end of the summer, you recite 5 of your passages to 2 adults besides your parents
-And at the end of the summer, you can decide whether or not to take a test.
-If you decide to take the test, then you take the test.
-If you take the test and you are in the top 120 qualifiers in your age division (Primary, 7-10 yrs., Junior 11-14 yrs., Senior, 15-18 yrs.,) then you go to NATIONALS!!

-You get a BIG stack of memory passages (probably about 400 verses for Primary, 600 verses for Junior, and 800 for Senior) and you study them however you think is best.
-Then you fly/drive/walk/bike/scooter/skate/bus-ride/hop to San Antonio, Texas, and compete.
-You recite 5 of your passages, I think, to two judges. And you take a written test.
-If you are one of the happy 15 people in your age division, you move up to Semi-Finals.
-You recite your verses on stage one after another until there are only 5 people left
-If you are one of the five, you move on to Finals
-You recite a few more verses and answer some questions, and then you are placed.
-If you are in the Senior age division, you get $100,000 for first place. EVERYONE who made it to finals gets at least $1,000. 5th place get $1,000, and each higher place gets more. For the Junior division, the winner gets $50,000 and the winner of the Primary division gets $25,000!

But the real prize is having God’s Word in your heart for the rest of your life!

It is SOOOO worth it!! Of course, if you want to make it to Nationals, you should probably do more than than go through the study and memorize the passages (though you don’t have to.)

This year for BB, I memorized Genesis 1-3 verse-by-verse, studied the Cross References, (they gave a list of them) studied the *study* passages, memorized the Greek/Hebrew Words (there weren’t a lot) as well as the memory passages and the Discovery Journal. I have learned a LOT this year and grown closer to God (if those didn’t happen, I wouldn’t do BB.)

Consider! Sign up! (That’s my suggestion at least. 😀 )

                                Isaiah 55:11

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

@EpicAddie2 Thanks! God just all of a sudden blessed me with a really nice camera recently (I had a Nikon D3100 before that was ok but not good.) I’ve used it a lot and LOVE it, and Daeus made a video with it. He’s almost as happy about me getting it as I was myself about getting it! I think I only have a couple pictures on my site from the new camera – most of them are from the old camera. Do you know about Bible Bee? How did you hear about it? Have you ever participated? I am taking the qualifying test tomorrow. Thanks for your good wishes! Really, I want whatever God thinks is best for me, EVEN if it means I don’t qualify – though, of course, it WOULD be NICE to qualify, since a vacation to S.A. TX depends on it! 😀 😀 I was reminded recently of the hymn, “Have Thine Own Way Lord!” and Isaiah 55:11 which have been my encouragement recently. 😀
