Wow! Thanks for taking the time to explain all of that to me, @daeus! I’ve heard a lot about self publishing, but I never really understood how it works. It sounds like I need to have several books already written before I start.

Thank you so much, @rolena-hatfield and @daeus! Now I have two questions. How do you market/advertise your book? And what is the difference between a e-book realtor and an e-book publisher?
Oh, and another thing. I’m not an artist. If I self-publish a book, how do I get the cover designed? -

@reaganramm– How long does it take for a comment to get moderated? I posted a comment on January 21st about the KP Critique 22, and it hasn’t been moderated yet. I really don’t mind waiting, but I just thought it was a little odd since the comments to the more recent articles and critique were moderated. Was it somehow lost?

@spradlin– Thanks for getting back to me. The only reason I asked was that my parents don’t like me going on sites that have ads, and I was afraid I wouldn’t be allowed to go on here anymore. But that isn’t the case, thankfully. Every once in a while, the big ad along the side of the forum is inappropriate, but I totally understand if you need to…[Read more]

@bluejay– I’ve read the Promise of Zion series, too! I forgot to mention them. Carry On, Mr. Bowditch sounds familiar. What is it about?
@daeus– Thank you! I will look for them. What is The Hidden Hand about?
@kate-flournoy – I don’t know Haggard’s motives, but he wrote like a person who was prejudiced. It’s more noticeable in King Solomon’s…[Read more]

Historical fiction is my favorite genre, too. 🙂
The Zion Covenant series, The Zion Chronicles series, and the Galway Chronicles, all by Bodie Thoene. The first series has a little too much romance in it for my liking, but otherwise it’s great.
The Young Underground, by Robert Elmer.
Hunted and Harried, by R. M. Ballantine.
Lysbeth, by R. H.…[Read more] -

Personally, I like the head of the #4 heron, and the body of the #1 heron. If I had to pick one, though, I would probably pick #1.

@daeus– Now that would be very unexpected. 🙂
Speaking of favorite verses, this morning Mommy read Psalm 19 to us from her Jewish Bible. The first few verses really struck me, they are so beautiful.
The heavens declare the glory of God,
The dome of the sky speaks the work of his hands.
Every day it utters speech,
Every night it reveals… - Load More
