I heard Him calling in the morning
In the dawning of my life
His voice was firm and gentle
And it echoed in my heart.“Follow Me and be My child
Don’t live like the world.
Come walk in the light with Me
And live a life that’s clean.
Hear Me, child,
There’s danger in the dark.”Silence hung thick as a few stepped forward.
I didn’t.
Too many…[Read more] -

Good for you, Tessa! That’s awesome.
And if you ever do publish it as an ebook or something, I’d like to see it. 🙂 -

Nope. Hmmm.
Does anybody know how to make a picture smaller? I tried <… width=”x” height=”x”> and <… style=”width:X;height:x;”> and neither worked. -

Let me try this:

Is it smaller?

It worked! They should have been much smaller, though… sorry about that. 🙂

Alright; let me try this.

Please work!

@Daeus — I have a Weebly site. Would that work the same way?

Thanks, Kate! I really appreciate the input; I wasn’t exactly sure how to divide it up, but that makes sense. I’ll get started as soon as my brother gets his password. 🙂

@spradlin — Ok! I’m not an artist, but my brother is, and he has agreed to help me. He is in the process of joining the forum now. Basically, should we create some topics like “oil painting”, “acrylic painting”, “watercolor vs. watercolor pencils”, “techniques”, etc., put some pictures on there, and otherwise make it inviting?
Or is that the…[Read more] -

That might be why the art forum is rather empty. 🙂 Is there a way to fix that?

Have you read the “In the Days of Noah” picture book put out by Answers in Genesis? There’s a market scene in there. I think it was an open-air market with wooden booths, almost like a farmers’ market. I was picturing a setup like that.

That’s a great idea, Rosey! We should nominate you master of the ceremonies, (is that the right term?) since it was your idea.
I’ve always thought of myself as a KPer, but I’m not against changing that. 🙂 From that list, Knights of Kingdom Pen is my favorite. -

@spradlin — I was just wondering, how discoverable is the Art forum topic for illustrators? Like, if they searched “Christian cover-art forum” would Kingdom Pen come up?

Would it make more sense if you used “check mark” or “check” instead of “tick”?
…unless you really are talking about ticks… 🙂 -

I would either show them fighting like @Daeus said, or I would show someone stealing. Maybe someone with a sneaky expression walking out of a market stall/ shop with something half-hidden under his cloak, while the shopkeeper angrily argues with another customer. That would be less violent, but the fight-scene idea is much funnier.

*sniff, sniff* Beautiful Sarah. Very beautiful. Well done.
Thank you, Tessa!
This is a beautiful poem, Sarah! So true. Many Christians don’t really want to follow Christ; they just want to ticket to Heaven. It’s really sad, and it’s such an easy trap to fall into. Thanks so much for sharing this with us!
*the ticket
Thanks, Greta!
Exactly. And it’s so tragic because when people in the world see Christians who aren’t sincere, it drives them away from the gospel. You know?
Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I think that lots of unbelievers think that Christians are fake. Of course, nobody’s perfect, but it’s just so incredibly sad when I see Christians who are conforming to the ways of the world, even competing with each other. I want to say, “People, this is the body of CHRIST!” Don’t get me wrong–I’ve fallen…[Read more]
Hey @sarah-h I noticed that you get on KP in my late afternoon, would you be interested in writing together for some time? We could set a time and do it once a week if you want??? 🙂
@bluejay – Oh, I wish I could. That would be a lot of fun. Right now I’m not writing anything… BUT Mommy has been warning us of an impending writing project she has in mind, so maybe I’ll be able to do it then. 🙂
Well, make sure you tag me when that happens. 🙂 @sarah-h
@bluejay I will! 🙂
@sarah-h Did you ever get the impending writing project? 🙂
!!! Mommy brought it up again just this afternoon! She hadn’t said a word about it for months. It sounds like she wants us to do it on the now side of soon, so it shouldn’t be too long. 🙂
@bluejay
@sarah-h Keep me updated. Cause I’d love to write with you some time. 🙂
@bluejay I sure will! It’ll be fun. 🙂
@bluejay Since my schedule is so erratic it’s practically nonexistent, maybe I should try to write around yours. When do you usually write?
@sarah-h I generally write from 5-6pm (your time, I think). I’ve been a bit slack lately, and sometimes I only do half an hour. But I can also write from 7pm onward if that suits you better. But I’d probably only be able to do that time once a week.
@bluejay That’s great! I’m usually open then, too. 🙂
@bluejay I have some sad news- the writing project is off. It was supposed to be like an autobiography of the past few years of my life, which has been kind of difficult, and I just can’t make myself relive all that right now. I’m glad we got to write together a few times, though; that was fun. Maybe I will have another project in the future. 🙂
@sarah-h I understand. I think the project sounds very hard. I’m not sure I could do that. It was fun to write with you; I’m glad we got to do that. Let me know if you do. 😉
@bluejay I will. 🙂
