Many of my characters from the trilogy deal with those same things! Especially Simon the Zealot. I didn’t read/ watch Harry Potter till this year but I looooveee them. I’m STILL MAD AT JK ROWLING THO for killing my favorite characters 🙁
But I love them so much. I relate to Harry and they give me hope and comfort and courage to keep fighting even in the terrible and the dark times.

@joy-caroline Yes, definitely! My opening chapters often feel flat. I write things that happen to the characters and that I think are important, only to figure out later that it wasn’t really important or added anything to the overall story. I only got to see the video recording of Jesus, too. We have friends who saw the show in theater, and they RAVED about it! Alas, I didn’t even know that the Theater existed when that show was playing!
