@daeus Aha. Would like some more ice cream long with the sequel? 😛
@christi-eaton Hahaha! Yeah…I’m not even sure why I asked that question. 😛 Shall I say its unanimous?Okay, as there will be an angry mob chasing me if I do not write a sequel, as it would seem, I clearly need to write one. I already have some ideas, but if any of you have…[Read more]

@graciegirl Yay! I’m so glad you liked it! *salutes you back* What was your favorite line?
@daeus It is the bestistest place on the internet, after all! 😀 And I love that line too. I tried to incorporate your ice cream and scones and raspberries.…[Read more] -

@Kate-Flournoy Thanks. 🙂 I’m trying to get really good at calligraphy, but I’ve still got a long way to go, in my opinion. And I actually never use the desk. I’ve got something weird where it hurts my back to sit in an chair upright for an extended period time, so I usually do my writing, schoolwork, and basically everything on the floor. XD The…[Read more]

Greetings, fellow members of the Kingdom!
Thank you all for giving me such a warm welcome! I have really been enjoying reading articles, participating in the forum, and seeing all the ideas that others have to share!
About two years ago an idea for a story started developing in my head after my sister and I acted out a story together. I’ve t…[Read more]

@PerfectFifths Nice! Is Douglas Bond Australian? I’ve read some of his books.
@Ethryndal @Kate-Flournoy entered that contest too, and went through the same thing (obviously). It was n.e.r.v.e. w.r.a.c.k.i.n.g. I don’t think it was an error, either; not to be badmouthing them of course, but there were updates on their Facebook page or something…[Read more]

Haha, I guess we’ve got the best of both worlds here, then! =DHm, yes, I can see that. I guess this is where the debate comes in about turning the other cheek too. =P Like, if you capture the guy who keeps trying to kidnap your daughter, and turn him over to the authorities, but they’re corrupt and just keep letting him go, saying…[Read more]

That makes sense. What if the government is corrupted or has strayed from that purpose? What if the offender is let free because of a bribe or something, and you know that they’re going to do something terrible, but the corrupted authorities refuse to act? Is it wrong to step into the role that isn’t being properly filled in this…[Read more]

I see, that all makes sense. So the only thing that makes it justice and not revenge is if the person exacting the justice is working within a judicial system organized by other people? Where does their authority to have someone executed come from? (Of course, I don’t know that this it’s practical to take it all the…[Read more]

Hey all,
Time to start thinking about the second Theme Mastery Q&A! We’ll be covering anything and everything that’s in the course in a format similar to last time–I’ll ask you some questions about the course, you can ask me questions about theme, and we’ll end with a giveaway of some sort. This will be the last Q&A we’re hosting and will cover…[Read more]

@Rachelle I think everything’s been covered already 😛 I would just add that the reader might feel cheated if the character seeking revenge gets away without any consequences for his actions. Usually stories that involve revenge end in the protagonist either realizing how wrong their thoughts are and “converting,” so to say, or carrying out the…[Read more]

Funnily enough, not only am I reading (in my opinion) the best revenge plot ever write, a la Hamlet, but am also writing a paper on Hamlet/Revenge vs Justice. But I don’t really have anything to say beyond what @kate-flournoy said soooo… darn it, Kate, you’re always so thorough.…[Read more]
