In fact… you could make him the one with the complete thematic truth. That it’s better to face reality than shelter in ignorance. A very unlikely bearer of truth— maybe the reader doesn’t see it at first. But if you give him that, his EiL should be the one that wins.
Agreed. @kate-flournoy

…did you just call me sweetheart? @kate-flournoy

I love the idea of an impact character. *scribbles this in her notes*

@kate-flournoy *thinks for a moment*
A few examples…
Yes, intelligence is better than ignorance, because if you’re intelligent you can make ignorant people do what you want.
No, intelligence is not better than ignorance, because it’s better to be ignorant than face the horrors of reality.

Wow. *hugs you* This is awesome. Better than anything I’d hoped for. @kate-flournoy
The concept of an EiL is new to me, too, and it very much excites me. I think I’ll have an easier time with my plotting if I keep this in mind…
Kate, thank you so much for being willing to put so much into this. It means so much to me!

Guys, I’m in a terrible situation. I have this book planned out to write. A shorter novel. And there’s this character that’s one of the main characters. And I CAN’T SEEM TO GIVE HIM A FACE!!!!!
I can’t start writing until I can picture this person clearly in my head. So… there’s some things I know about him, actually a lot of things, that I’m…[Read more] -

Even though the topic has totally derailed, I’m still going to be contrary and pop in with a sentence about what was happening two pages ago.
Yay, @Kate-Flournoy and @Emma-Flournoy, that’s great! *explosions of glitter* 😀 Hey, what song did you do?

@Kate-flournoy, I was going to ask how it went. Now I’m curious what the song was — older songs are more likely to be ones I like than new ones. But I suppose I should ask first “How old is old?”
@That-writer-girl-99, I can’t read music either, and I’m in the church choir. I understand the difficulty. My sister got all the musical talent,…[Read more]

Kate…have you coalesced your thoughts well enough to respond to my novel excerpt? 🙂 @kate-flournoy
@daeus I can barely read music…which makes participating in the choir I’m in rather difficult, sometimes…
