I think I see what you’re saying. I don’t know that it’s necessarily a law exactly, but readable prose is definitely something you want to start with.

@Kate-Flournoy — Thanks! Immorality and bad language are what my parents are most concerned about for him, so they will definitely have to screen it. I thought it was one movie, but it sounds like there’s a series. Is there an episode that you especially recommend?

You know what, @kate-flournoy? Here’s something else I just happened to notice. Info dumps are actually often some of the most rereadable portions of a book. I suspect it has something to do with irony. The classical authors loved irony in an info dump.

@Kate-flournoy Not a philosopher, I just love logic. And paradoxes. 😉 I thought I figured it out, then I realized I hadn’t and then I had to figure it out. It took me about twenty minutes I was supposed to be spending on writing.

@kate-flournoy YES! I read this one almost exactly a year ago, actually, and I loved it too. It’s one of those books that really makes you think, and I can honestly say a year later, it has made me treasure freedom of speech and writing more. It has helped me not take those freedoms for granted.
