Election day is today (you probably already knew that, unless you’ve been living in a hole in the ground 😉 ). Let’s take the time to pray for our country today.
Thy will be done, Lord.

134 posts… wow. I do believe you’ve hit gold with this thread, @dragon-snapper. 😛 😀
@jess Quaker Haven is in Syracuse, IN. It’s really awesome- if anyone on here can ever come when we go, you’d be more than welcome. It’s generally the first or third week of August when we go, I believe. I’m sure I’ll mention it when we get there.…[Read more]

*gigantic group hug* I love everybody so much!!!
I have had SO. MUCH. FUN. reading this thread. All the stuffs are just so…nice. 😀 😀About being feely—I like hugs, but only if the recipient likes it too. I would hate to hug someone who didn’t want me too. Also I love handshakes, especially ones with character. There’s something so nice…[Read more]

@anne-of-lothlorien So you’re good without a life-jacket now. Perfect! 😀 And the water’s generally deeper than five feet. It was over my head a little at the deepest spot within the docks, so it’s probably more like six feet.
And your poor neighbor boy. Or maybe poor you. He may be watching you with disgustingly…[Read more]

Just as a reminder, if you have any personal questions you want to ask Daniel, Anna, and I, we’re filming the video tomorrow, so now’s your last chance! So if you’ve ever wanted to know what we’re really like away from the camera, or what dark
blackmailsecrets we may have on each other, now’s your chance. 😉 -

Seriously guys? I go away for a few hours and come back to 40 something emails? Give me a few hours and I’ll catch up, don’t worry. *coughs* Go on without me. *dies* -

@jess No, thanks. You actually reaffirmed my point.
The ideas aren’t to be acted upon if they merely come from emotion. Emotion’s strength is that it prompts ideas the reason would never dare to dream. Reason then shapes those ideas to make them manageable.
People whose emotions get out of hand are that way because they’re reason isn’t playing…[Read more]

@jess Don’t! Spelling mistakes are sooo easy to make… and other kinds of mistakes can be funny. When I was little I thought the third commandment was “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God to Spain!” 😛 😀 So yeah, missionaries to Spain are off limits. Which is funny, since we have some friends who are missionaries to Spain… 😉

@jess Yeah, it’s Corissa, not Corrisa. Two s’s, not two r’s. 😉
Hey, @kate-flournoy‘s an INFP, aren’t you? Does my memory serve me correctly? We need some insight over here! 😀

SleepwalkingMK replied to the topic The Mind of a Writer in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years ago
@jess As an ENFP, I’m emotional, but I almost never cry. Movies may sometimes make me tear up, but I’ve never cried over one before (I cry in my heart a the really sad ones though). I usually cry when I’m extremely angry, hurt, or tired.
Now I’m really going to bed. *slaps self*

@corissa-maiden-of-praise Haha, yeah. Good to know I’m human 🙂 “You were just being human. That’s what humans do.” 😉
@jess Haha, not much yet. Oh, that’s cool. It’s for my foreign language, and I really like it 🙂*yawns* I really need to get to bed. Happy conversing! 🙂

@jess Exactly. Of course, there’s a time and place where “breaking down” is perfectly fine. Funerals, weddings, even high-school graduations (there’s one fellow I know who cries every time he tries to give a speech when one of his kids graduates), those are times when it can be appropriate to cry (as long as you don’t completely lose control and…[Read more]

Guysssssssssss *wails* I get home from church and get 38 emails…almost all of them from this thread. *pouts* I can’t keep up with you all.
And now, @Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise, @Kate-flournoy, @Jess, on to INTJs.
Kate is pretty much right. The logic. The suppressing emotions and not showing it because it’s ‘just’ a feeling and isn’t what…[Read more]

@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise *pounces on offer with squeal of glee* YES!!!
*ahem* The INTJ. As Introverts, they are more reserved than otherwise, and as iNtuitives they deal in truths and concepts rather than facts and formulas, making them more visionary than practical. As Thinkers they are detached and logical; less people-oriented and more in…[Read more]

@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise yes, it’s possible for any of the four functions that make up a type to be very close with their opposite function— you’re probably only T by a very small percent.
@Dragon-Snapper YES! *fist-pump* Called it. *huge grin* ENFJs are fun. It’s possible you are extroverted only by a small margin, which would explain your…[Read more]

Yes! Please take a minute (preferably at least five minutes) to come before the Throne and find rest in His peace. We don’t have to worry because we know that God has everything under control. Maybe, through some mysterious twist of fate, this election will improve America. However, sometimes, it was God’s plan for the Israelites to be defeated.…[Read more]
Amen @julia-r! Thank YOU for reminding me. I’m trying to rest in the Lord, but it’s so hard not to worry. I know that God’s got this. 🙂
Thanks for the reminder, Greta.
Yes @Gretald. Thank you.
Amen. Bless the polls, Lord.
@julia-r
Just like you said, whatever the outcome, it’s under control.
Yes, let’s all pray for America. Good to be reminded, @Gretald.
Thanks for the reminder, Greta. So many people are afraid today, but I know God is in control.
Thank you for the reminder, @gretald! May the LORD’s will be done.
Amen!! @corissa-maiden-of-praise
Yes! Thank you for that prodding. It’s cool to know that there are young Christian writers out there who care about these things; you guys inspire me.
It’s a beautiful day, no matter the outcome of the election- because we know where our true citizenship lies. Thanks for the reminder, @gretald
Yes, let’s do that. We need it. (Like always…)
Going to just take a second to say, you guys are beautiful people and a true encouragement. It’s such a blessing to see you all bind together and write for the Kingdom of God and support others who choose to do the same. <3 *fades back into the shadows*
I was praying for you guys too, @gretald. Now that the results are out, I’ve started a topic about politics to satisfy my curiosity…
Thanks @clairec! Your prayers are much appreciated. 🙂
