@rochellaine I’m working on a slow section of the third novel in my trilogy, Sector One. This one is called Foundation.

@seekjustice Hi! 😀 Which first draft are you reading through?

Although I write science fiction, a little piece of fantasy will always stay with me. I still write best while listening to celtic music.

You know you’re not a bookworm when you look at your bookshelf, shrug and say “Meh.”

Ummm. I think @bluejay still owns that position. I guess we’re just all developing major immunities to ice cream and raspberries while she’s gone. 😉 @dekreel
@clairec This was really obscure, but Daeus nominated me the substitute doctor a while back. No one’s gotten sick… so.
And yeah. I miss Tessa too. 😀 (Wherever you are… here’s a smi…[Read more]

@Daeus I thought Andrew Peterson too—he’s got his own website andrew-peterson.com, and then a community he’s head of, rabbitroom.com, which I think has a large following of writers with the same general worldview of KeePers. Which is nice. And from what I’ve read he seems like a nice personal guy who’s always interested in helping others…[Read more]

You know you’re a Kapeefer when all of a sudden you start loving the name Josiah/Daniel/Anna/Daeus/Reagan/Snapper when you used to think nothing of it
@dekreel Haha!

@Jenwriter17 as Princess said, some of the elements are fairly generic with the dystopian genre. Evil government and Outcasts are common features, BUT that doesn’t mean you can’t use it. I definitely say you can still do this well if you have your own aspect and take on the situation and use your own style to make the story unique and different.

@daeus Yeah….. no.
I don’t really know that many authors. Haven’t been to any conferences really–one local teen one–but otherwise… not yet. XD I’ll let you know if I can think of any.

Snapper replied to the topic The Beginning of the Sequel in the forum Plotting 8 years, 3 months ago
I usually like to start my sequels (I’ve only started one sequel…sooo….) by focusing on a scene that actually entails the villain. What he’s after. Especially if you’re villain has already been introduced in the first book.
I also like to have some sort of initiative on the villain’s part. There’s something needing to be…[Read more]

@mariposa Seriously. All these songs….
And that collage. O.O I wish to now read this book. Is it kinda like Jurassic Park/World, or something else. Was there time travel??
@daughteroftheking That quote. Is. So. Poetic.

@livgiordano Yeah. I appreciated that so much. Takes a lot of courage. And humility, especially after winning the superbowl against the Patriots.
@sam-kowal Let’s just go with the Eagles. 😉
@epicaddie2 Just remember that 85% of America was cheering with you. 😛

Oh yeah. I did that every now and then with my first person book. Just so long as you make it clear that you’re switching, you should be fine. 😀 @jenwriter17

@clairec Wow. Really? Thank you so much! 😀
You know you’re a Kapeefer when you write down something that makes you a writer at 11:30 PM just so you can tell the Kapeefers.

You know you’re a writer when you watch an epic Winter Olympics commercial–super active people with amazing tricks–and you just say meekly, “I write books.”
You know you’re a writer when you begin to describe the setting of a winter day as you take bulk trash to the curb.
