And YES. It is frightening, when I go back to my first ‘novel’ and read it, to find that it is practically a clone of Henty style and Henty plot. *pout* It’s not funny in the least.

Ah, thanks, @ivy-rose. Not sure if I quite deserve it considering the earlier drafts you read…though I do (quite humbly, of course) claim to be a pretty good beta reader when it comes to plots, characters, and emotions. 😉
