@introvert_girl Hmm, that’s kind of a tough one for me. I haven’t ever done that before.
😀 XD XD The first thing I thought of when reading the first couple lines of your post was the new Star Wars films! They definitely could have had a really hard time with that. Han, Luke, and Leia were some of the most beloved characters of all time… and…[Read more]

Have you ever heard of
The positive Trait thesaurus:A Writers Guide to Character attributes. By Angela Ackerman? Its really cool!
She also has a negative trait one, an emotion one, an urban setting one.. and a few more I think 🙂
My sister @introvert_girl has the negative trait one, the positive trait one, and the emotion one and…[Read more] -

I actually have to think of this. In Changing Winds (working title) I have completely different characters and situations from Embers Burning. And Brynn and Fallon are definitely not Amber and Brendan. But, I think the best thing is to just act like this is a separate story. For me, while my original characters are in the next book, they are…[Read more]

@Introvert_girl good question. I haven’t given this a ton of thought, but my gut says you would have to acknowledge to the reader that this is different.
You can’t let the new characters try to fill the shoes of the old ones; it won’t work. You should make it clear that this is their story now… and that the world has changed to need them as…[Read more]

@introvert_girl Hmm… that’s an interesting theory. It makes sense. When Kylo Ren is more in his “Ben Solo” mood, he’s actually fairly likable.
@itisastarrynight That’s interesting, because my favorite part (besides the boy at the end) was when Luke faced off Kylo Ren (as a Force ghost.) I thought Snoke was killed way too easily and that ther…[Read more]

Hey, everyone!
As you may have guessed from my username i’m not actually a writer. Though I love learning about the complex art that is storytelling and discussing it with my two sisters! @introvert_girl (my older sister) and @itsastarrynight (my younger sister)
My other main interests include drawing/art, journaling, carving homemade stamps,…[Read more] -

Hello! New recruit here. I have recently have taken an interest in writing my own story, My current (and first) is going to be a graphic novel, it is what pulled me into writing as I always have been a bit intimidated by doing my own book or project. It will hopefully be character-centered. Love the community and articles posted here. (I’ve…[Read more]

@introvert_girl Arlo would rather have his family lose the memory of himself.

@introvert_girl *nods* Some people like cats, but they just don’t know it yet. I mean, who couldn’t love a cat? Okay, fine there are some people. But deep down even though they try to avoid it, they like cats. *is probably biased*
@emily Kay waters would do science.

I really liked Alfred’s voice too. I only write in first, so I am not exactly sure how it is different than third, but just first is really where the personality of the character comes out. @introvert_girl summed it up pretty well.
The only thing I would change is I’m studying writing in a university. I don’t think you can study “…[Read more]
