Great questions…
I think before I attempt to answer the first one, I need to know: would the stories be told from the same character’s point of view throughout the whole series? Or would you have the first book in third person told from character 1’s point of view, and the next book told in first person from character 2’s point…[Read more] -

I definitely agree with you on this. While I do think it is important to have backstories for characters, you can’t include them all. However, while you are developing characters, you do need to have some of their past figured out. For example, say you have a particularly bitter, melancholy character. Why is he or…[Read more] -

His main objective in writing this story seems to be to convince others of whatever points he’s trying to get across in his writing.
I agree that Orwell has some points to get across to the reader. We’ll find out what those points are pretty soon. 🙂

I agree that the pigs seem power-hungry and may become dictators to the other animals. -

I noticed the ‘telling’ too. It was a little hard for me to get used to at first but, I agree that it did work well.
I loved the different personalities of the animals. The pigs are the confident, highly regarded animals. The horses are strong, but not necessarily the brightest. (I think Molly especially is an interesting character.) The…[Read more] -

There is one word to describe this. Amazing.
Okay, two words. Amazing and ingenious.
WOW! This is so good! I agree with those who said they loved Cerdic’s voice. It’s perfectly hilarious. 🙂
I only noticed a few grammar mistakes, but the awesomeness of the story made up for that! 😉
Amazing, awesome, fabulous job! (Now four words.…[Read more] -

I don’t have much experience with this but I know that any book that isn’t the last book in a series should have a cliff-hanger ending to make the reader want to read the next book. (That’s sort of a “duh.”) For the last book in a series, I know the writing just needs to have a finished feel too it. Maybe not too finished; the reader should still…[Read more]

Wow; just wow. Forget what I said because what you’re saying makes a lot more sense! 😉 I agree that you shouldn’t have to fulfill all of the reader’s expectations, just some. That way you leave room for more creativity and an awesome story! By the way, I would totally read that story about the girl and the evil faerie dragonfly! It sounds…[Read more] -
