@I-j-Anderson Wow! That picture says a lot. It seems like ‘her life is weighed in the balance’.

@i-j-anderson Thanks! Regardless of the girl’s age, do you think she fits well aesthetically? Does she look a bit too ghostly or not match the coloring? Do you think maybe she could fit perfect, but there needs to be certain edits first?
There’s no actual problem with her age, I just wanted her to be more like six, but I’ll compromise on that for…[Read more]

@i-j-anderson I personally like illustrations, if they’re done well, though too often I pick up a book with illustrations that look like they were done by a four year old. (You know, blobby noses, faces that are basically just a circle, and pathetic backgrounds)
Or the illustrator paid absolutely no attention to the author’s descriptions. Like, a…[Read more]

Well, @i-j-anderson, I have a love for children’s books with tons of fun colorful pictures 😉
(@daeus I love that picture book idea!)
However in other books I prefer a small amount of black and white drawing. Not too much color for me 😛 But I love pictures so they don’t really bother me. -

@i-j-anderson Most of the time I prefer to just use my imagination, but I do enjoy the illustrations in the old classics, like Henty and Ballantyne. Which do you prefer: sketches, or color pictures?

Kate Flournoy replied to the topic Illustrations and Personal Opinions Regarding Them in the forum Art 7 years, 11 months ago
It really depends, @I-J-Anderson. Some books are good with illustrations. A lot of old classics have illustrations— things like Gene Stratton-Porter, and Ballantyne, and the like. I liked those because they sort of filled in the setting gaps the author didn’t spend much time on, though I could have filled it in without them. I guess what I’m…[Read more]

@I-J-Anderson, I don’t go crazy if there are illustrations in a book, but I would rather have a book with no illustrations. Illustrations can be good, but I as the reader would rather fill in the blanks on what the characters look like myself. Also, like Emma Flournoy said, if the book is well written there won’t be clunky descriptions. 😉 It’s…[Read more]

@i-j-anderson, now that you figured out how to post pictures you need to show everyone your watercolors 🙂 Also, the one you just posted that you did in pen will forever be one of my favorites. 🙂

@emma-flournoy, Yeah, it’s pretty strange, I’m definitely not ISTJ. But aside from my introvertedness, I am pretty much fully ESTJ 🙂 (especially when I am doing something I really enjoy.)
@i-j-anderson, you probably would enjoy this conversation. 😉

@i-j-anderson I know! Sahara! Dirk says it to the warlord’s patrol who is trying to board his boat. That’s such a cool movie; if only Eva (is that her name?) had kept more clothes on….
Hehehe, that means I get to quote one. Let’s see…

How’d you guess??? XD JK, I wasn’t. 😛
Why shouldn’t they? Some of the best quotes come from video games! 😀 😛 And you’re right, it is Portal 2, and it is really good! 😀

@emma-flournoy, @I-J-Anderson probably doesn’t even have to read Les Mis because I talk to her about it so much 😉 But you should read it, Jane, you really should!
All I know is that being in the play has changed some of my view of Les Mis, for one, rehearsals have turned the thing into a comedy. For example, last night, my friend Damian…[Read more]

Yeah, Frodo most certainly wouldn’t have made it without Sam. He knew it, too.
Oh I know, Richard Armitage is a really good actor. I haven’t seen him as Gisborne (but I bet he’s awesome), but I’ve seen him in the BBC miniseries North and South. Seen…[Read more]
