@hope That’s a good point. I do have different expectations for a modern as opposed to a classic book. Of course, good writing is always good writing, but each age has its own trends. For Sherlock Holmes, I really wish the villains showed more emotion and incorporation when they were caught and I thought there could have been more emotion,…[Read more]

@hope Sign of the Shield sounds great.
*I still like Crowned Powerless, but I understand that some titles, no matter how awesome, just don’t work* -

@hope, If it is Christian nonfiction, you know, commentaries, studies, etc. I guess it would count as ‘Bible’; you can really interpret the challenge however you want. You can be super strict and only read the Bible, or, if you really want to, you can expand it to nonfiction Christian literature.

Hey @hope ! 🙂 “Sign of the Shield” is alright. (It could be better than alright, but since I haven’t read your story it’s a little hard to say how well it goes, but it sounds nice:) What about “Emblazoned”? I just thought of it. Not saying it’s better than “Sign of the Shield,” but it was an idea, so I thought I’d mention it.

@Hope it was an absolutely beautiful speech. The gist of it was, politics is not about candidates or parties or even government. It’s about an ideal— about liberty. And whenever it becomes about anything else, it becomes invalid. People are in charge of the government, and we have a voting process to let the voice of the people be heard, so…[Read more]

@Hope it was an absolutely beautiful speech. And I know what you mean— lots of people were very upset that he ‘broke his promise’ to support the nominee, and his response to them was perfect. Basically, he pointed out that the field has changed. When he pledged to support the Republican nominee, (roughly paraphrasing his own words here) he did…[Read more]

So @clairec Are you writing now? I can join you till seven if you are.
@hope Thanks for dropping in. Yes, I think I got it figured out, (Thank you @kate-flournoy) But I will keep in mind the map in the hilt and the decorative line. 🙂 If I have any more questions, I will definitely ask them. 😀 -

*whimpers* I’ve been asking that of myself ever since I got stuck. And yes I agree it is a mess. Technically it wouldn’t have been a mess, except my bad guy didn’t read the script and took matters into his own hands and ran away. He was suppose to be the key to all the information.
I wonder if there could be a clue on the blade? @hope can you…[Read more] -

@hope Hey, I would appreciate that a lot. I’m pretty much stacking everybody on stage 2 currently.
As for the final clash, I think I can take it on, though it might go slowly with all the other editing I have to do.

@hope *We writers are cruel* I sometimes wonder (when I’m really being a writer) what our poor characters think of us. We kill them, put them in dreadful positions, have terrible villains, we are horrible to them. But at least, *most of the time* we give the a happy ending. 🙂
But well done though. -
