@kate-flournoy Oh, c’mon. Have you ever read the Mandie books??? If not… you should. And you should also learn how to swim. *goes off to do some research about lakes around Hocking Hills*
@hope YES! You must come. We are going to have a blast… this year we actually took time to go to the gym and relate the scary dreams we’d recently had… it…[Read more]

Seriously guys? I go away for a few hours and come back to 40 something emails? Give me a few hours and I’ll catch up, don’t worry. *coughs* Go on without me. *dies* -

@hope YES!! I love sinking to the bottom. At Quaker Haven, @anne-of-lothlorien and I would sink to the bottom and lay there very dramatically like that one character in literature somewhere whose name is currently eluding me… 😉 It’s also really cool to see how distorted the sun becomes. And then you’re just sitting there and a fish swims by……[Read more]

@Hope aiy-ya-yi, now you’re gettin’ weird. 😛 I don’t ever want to risk my life in pursuit of experience, thank you very much. The worst I’ve ever done with water is go under in a pool and just go limp and let myself float to the top like a dead fish. Then when I stand up my hair’s all over the place and my siblings call me Poisedon… so…[Read more]

@kate-flournoy This we must fix.
@hope Next year for Quaker Haven I need you to go kidnap Kate and bring her to camp so we can help her overcome her fear of water, even if she doesn’t learn how to swim. That’s what life jackets are for. @anne-of-lothlorien can’t technically swim, but she’s great in the water with a life-jacket (and she’s getting…[Read more]

@Hope don’t you dare.
@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise yep, I’m lucky. I can shout and sing and die and scream all I want. 😀
No I haven’t, mainly because I can’t swim and am terrified of water anyway. :/ -

@hope Oh yes! We can buy a secret camera, and then (since she doesn’t know what I look like) I can pay a visit to her cabins and install it! *goes off in insane laughter*

@hope Did she ever doubt it? 😀
Wait, does this mean I’m banned from your car if we go to the writing conference next year?! *gasps*
Although mom said she might want to take me and then go shopping with your mom while we’re at the conference, so it might not be too much of a problem anyway… 😀
And I desperately want to try getting out of a…[Read more]

@Hope yeah, I guess I didn’t literally mean afraid— they just don’t like it. It frustrates them and breaks a hole in their world of graphs and lines and cold white building-blocks, though @Daeus just explained why that doesn’t have to be so… 😀
@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise what exactly do you need insight on? INFP’s crying habits? 😛 Well we’re…[Read more]

@corissa-maiden-of-praise I’m taking German so that prompts me to speak in a German accent a lot… I drive my family nuts xD
@hope That’s very interesting. I’m writing an INFJ character and your insights helped a lot. Thanks 🙂 I make logical decisions *sometimes*, like when it comes to moral decisions, I’m the conscience. But other than that, I…[Read more] -

People who act only on emotion and against all logic are bewildering.
@hope YEEEEEESSSS!!! I just don’t get it. I hate it when people do that in movies- I usually try to find some rational reason and grasp onto that because I don’t like to think that there are actually people out there who act purely based on emotion and entirely against logic.…[Read more]

@hope, Yes, morbid! I don’t know why I am, but I tend to be very morbid. (And I am a fairly happy person as well)
Things I don’t understand frustrate me instead.
Indeed. I wouldn’t say that emotions make me afraid, but I generally don’t like them. My parents don’t know what to do with me at times. Scratch that: I think they don’t know what t…[Read more]

INTJs possess emotions, but as emotions do not fit in any logical pattern dealing with them can be difficult, so they find it easier to put them aside. Helpful though this may seem on the surface, it actually undermines their confidence and can lead to insecurity.
Yes, @kate-flournoy, this so much! I do have emotions (sometimes contrary to…[Read more]

@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise *pounces on offer with squeal of glee* YES!!!
*ahem* The INTJ. As Introverts, they are more reserved than otherwise, and as iNtuitives they deal in truths and concepts rather than facts and formulas, making them more visionary than practical. As Thinkers they are detached and logical; less people-oriented and more in…[Read more]

*shudder* I would NOT like to be an INTJ full time, no offense. XD
So tell us, @jess, @hope, what is it like to be an INTJ full time? We’s is curious abouts your mindses, preciousss. What quirks or other differences do you think are unique to your personality type?
What about you, @kate-flournoy? Even if you aren’t one, you’ve studied the types…[Read more]

Wow, you guys… I love this forum.
@Dragon-Snapper take the test. Here it is. It’s fascinating. If I had to guess, I’d put you down as either ENFJ or ENTJ. @Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise is an ENTJ, and @Daeus and @Bluejay are ENFJs, so either way you’re in good company. 😉 And I know EXACTLY what you mean about mimicking character expressions— I’ve…[Read more] - Load More
