The problem with that is that I have another book where two characters have to pass though a swamp and fight a swamp serpent, and I want to make both testings different. I suppose one way would be to take out the swamp completely and replace it with forest, mountains, or something else, though I still am not sure what sort of test I’d do then…

And then, maybe near the end of the story if he changes, he could give up the fabric as a picture of giving up his bitterness (for some reason I assume he’s going to turn good; am I right about that?)…it could either be something he decides to do. We live in the country, but once we were were filming a fantasy movie so we were all dressed up. We had to walk down the road to reach the location we were filming at and passed our neighbor’s house where a party was going on. The looks we got were very amusing. 😉
