What is your system like? What is the concept behind it? And are there any problems to share? (Well, as my friend says, we all have problems… But this is specifically for magic problems. :p)
SOOOO
The only magic in my story is bad magic, used by the villains (Pythonos) (I do have characters with special abilities/powers, but I do…[Read more]

Yep! North Atlantic or New England accent. Though everyone here says /h/ as /ay-tch/ instead of /hay-tch/ and it drives me insane.
It’s /aytch/ and I won’t hear otherwise.

In my world, I have a rather boring magic system.
There are two main types of magic that all magic falls into, magick and I’ll call this one abilities for now, because I haven’t found a satisfying name for it.
Magick (I’m specifically spelling it with a ‘k’ because the ‘k’ on the end is connected to the occult, and I want it to be clear that…[Read more]

Yeah, I like the Sniper one.
@keilah @koshka
It’s okay Keilah. The other day I called one of my characters something like “my little wolf child” and “baby”.
My older sister looked at me with this blank stare and asked who I was talking about because “Isn’t he the soldier?”
I do very similar things lol

I’ve heard that there are basically three factors that make a character like-able: how “nice” of a person they are, competence (or alternatively, proactivity), and sympathy.
Of those, sympathy is the closest to relatability, but you can sympathize with someone who is in a completely different situation than you’ve ever been in. I d…[Read more]

I agree that he is a sorrowful sack of mope, but it does not bother me at all. XD I actually kind of understand Kaladin. It’s a little silly to say, especially because I’m not an ex-general ex-slaved turned-general-again with a pile of trauma and white knight syndrome. But the way he struggles going into RoW is pretty rel…

Yeah, I think WoR is definitely the best.
Whenever you read WaT, I’d like to hear what you think. I think I’m the only one on here who’s done. 😞
Have you ever taken the Knights Radiant quiz? What order are you?

Especially Sniper’s and Demo’s, which I’ll show later if you want.
I’m intrigued
Also, I respect your bravery to post old drawings. I tried to do that once…and I backed out before pushing the “submit” button

Great! Perfect!
I’ll see what I can do.
I often draw in the evenings while hanging out with my big brother, and all I can think about rn is what he’s gonna say when he sees what I’m drawing, and now I’m gonna explain myself lol

Mine too (though I think Oathbringer has the coolest climax ever)

It’s not that I don’t like Kaladin, it’s just that sometimes he annoys me.
Ah, ok. That’s actually a good idea, I only read the rest of the series last year but I forgot a lot of stuff already lol.
Which book is your favorite?

HighScribe replied to the topic Stormlight Archive in the forum Book Discussions 1 year, 7 months ago
Eh, I kinda might agree with your brother 🫣 not completely, but I think he has a point. While I think Kaladin does have some good development at some points in the series, a lot of the time I feel he’s just a bit too extreme.
Sorry.
Have you read Wind and Truth yet? (if you have no spoilers cuz I’m only on day five)

and a weird amount of bread
Why do I have a suspicious feeling that Soldier is involved?
Let me guess, he’s teleporting bread to create bread monsters?
Lol, that was one of the best moments ever.
I’m dead rn for what I want to draw so I’ll give it a shot drawing the scene. No promises that you’ll like it, I’m bad at wings, and at…[Read more]

Baron (Brutus)—Ben Gunn, Flare, Ellis, trying to find Fel and Brea (I think I got that right)
Brutus hesitated in following the others. The soldiers were terrified of these creatures. He held his scarf up over his nose and mouth. His eyes followed the disappearing forms of his companions. He could use his wind to…[Read more]
