@Graciegirl, TMWWT is tough for a first book of Chesterton’s to read. I’m impressed.
As to what it means, some speculate it’s about the problem of evil, what with so many references to the book of Job, and Syme saying at the end. . . well, what he says, anyway, when Gregory comes back. (I’m trying not to spoil it.) There are lots of other…[Read more] -

@Perfectfifths Zikers! (as @graciegirl would put it 😛 ) Now this thing is deleting parts of my posts! I’ve been having a lot of trouble with the site lately; sometimes certain peoples tags won’t come through, and today, the spot that lets you log in disappeared for four hours and I was locked out of my account. Apparently, it doesn’t like…[Read more]

@graciegirl the amount of disgust I feel at myself when that happens isn’t humanly healthy.
You know you’re a writer when you have blogger friends that you talk to more than your real friends.

KeePers everywhere!
1,000 strong. That’s my goal.
I am thrilled to announce the launch of the new Reader Behavior Survey. If you haven’t already read through this thread, the Reader Behavior Survey is a survey I put together that asks readers detailed questions to probe into how they think and what influences them. “Why?” you ask. Well, these…[Read more]

@graciegirl Yessss. Sometimes because they are ‘weird names’ and sometimes because I can’t remember… Is it Allan or Allen? Nathan or Nathen?

@graciegirl Definitely not the only one.
I love using names like Jadyn or Kiera in my stories, but there’s so many variations to the name. Is it Jayden? Jaden? Jadyn? Or how about Kyra? Kiara? Ciera? The auto-correct on my poor phone…

Elizabeth replied to the topic Hello All! in the forum Start HERE 9 years ago
@graciegirl From the original series, I’d have to say that the Lightning Thief and the Last Olympian are my favorites. I love the Son of Neptune from the second series, and I really liked the Kane Chronicles books, as well as the mini-ebooks that Riordan wrote–they’re a crossover between the Kane Chronicles and the Percy Jackson book.
Ugh.…[Read more]

@graciegirl Thank you for welcoming me thus. I’m glad we share the love of the same volume. I will be definitely sure to check out the character art thread. I have not read the Brotherband Chronicles (yet) I want to finish RA first. And I will be sure to check out David Neveu. Thanks for the recommendation.

@graciegirl Ooh, good question! I love the original Percy Jackson books the best, but the second series is good too. As for the Trials of Apollo…I didn’t like the first book due to the inclusion of a male/male relationship that I…[Read more]

For reason that I’ve never done this before, nor have ever heard of it besides on here, beta-reading is new to me. What does one do in beta-reading? Is there any method to it? Anything I should keep in mind?

Hi everyone,
Last night I threw together a project that I’ve been planning on doing for a while. I’m calling it the reader behavior survey.
The goal is to collect data on how readers behave in certain areas such as word of mouth marketing, how they interact with libraries, how they interact with emails, and other areas that will be helpful…[Read more]
