Person: How was drawing today?
Me: Good. Ike actually let me draw him today. I had so many conversations with him, trying to convince him to let me draw him–because he never does–and finally, I got ONE picture of him. Out of the twenty I’ve done. That boy…
Person: The men in white coats will be here shortly.
This actually happened,…[Read more]

I sometimes read my books aloud to my siblings, but whenever my mum or dad walks in, I stop and awkwardly try to make conversation about something totally random until they go away. I don’t mind my mum reading my stuff, I just hate it when she hears me reading it aloud. Whereas all my small brothers and sister think I can do no wrong in the r…

Oh girl I feel you. The lonileness and feeling of fragile faith are hard.
With my families move I have been thrown into a lot of isolation and I’ve been in a placr of having to “walk by faith and not by sight”.
My faith has grown through the struggle of fimiliar things being taken from my grasp, yet it does feel fragile. @daeus ‘s…[Read more]

@dekreel I read some of the Canterbury Tales for school last semester. The highlight of literature reading this year! It had great rhythm, and I found myself tapping my foot along to the poetry.

@mariposa @dragon-snapper @dekreel *laughing hysterically in the background*
*ahem*
Ten days after I turned 8, got my lips stuck in a gate, and my friends all laughed. And then I just stood there until the fire department came and broke the lock with a crowbar and I had to spend the next six weeks in a lip rehab with this kid named Oscar who got…[Read more]

@kate-flournoy And now it’s working. Weird. But I’ll still take that chocolate.
Oh yeah. I would love it if someone said something — not “What’s your book about?” — to “Here’s my email so you can send me the book.” XD But of course…I’d rather not give my email to random strangers.
No thanks.
Yeah. Definitely need more practice. “Hi, mirror.…[Read more]

@valtmy Welcome to KP! 😀
@sam-kowal ‘s right. But worry not, I’ve tried to instigate a rebellion myself. XD Even though I’m the one who made @daeus king.
Anyway, randomness aside; I’m Dragon Snapper. Most people here just call me Snapper though, cause why would you have to write down Dragon Snapper EVERY SINGLE TIME. XD
Glad to see another…[Read more]

Okay, sorry about that ‘k’. It was the only thing I could type in before the strange link sent me to @kate-flournoy‘s website. XD
Anyway…
This is a hilarious topic, because yeah, people do kind of look at you strange when you say you’re a writer. “Ah…”
And they ask what your book is about. But the book your writing is a sequel, so you…[Read more]

Hey guys!
So, I’m just going to say it…. writing’s been hard lately. I just started another novel–10,000 words through– but as I write, I really have to force myself to keep going. I try to write well, of course, but I feel almost disconnected from my book. I can write as fast as I used to if I force myself to, if I really really try, but I…[Read more]
