Oh yep, Elizabeth follows their blog pretty closely. Though @Adry_Grace, I’m fairly certain you’d have to get signed up very soon (if not weeks ago!) if you want to catch it before all the spaces are filled up… is that right @Kina-Lamb?

@Kina-Lamb Can’t wait.
@Adry_Grace Yeah, listen to Kina, she knows more about it than I do. 😛 I’m pretty sure my sister Elizabeth got most of the details from that website.

@Kina-Lamb Hey, I was looking around on your blog, and can I just say that you’re very mature? Well I said it, so hopefully it’s not too odd. I loved looking through your posts—I love it so much when someone young is so mature and thinks about such important things. (And I’m specifically hoping this doesn’t sound like I’m treating you as a…[Read more]

@Arella-Noreen Good to meet ya! We didn’t used to have many INFJs on here, but it seems like several have come on in the last week or so. 🙂 What’s your favorite book?
Also, we don’t live in TX anymore…some of us were born there, but we’ve lived in OH for about 12 years now I think. Where we lived longest in TX I think was near Lufkin. Where are you? -
Emma Flournoy replied to the topic *holds breath and hopes for the best* in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 1 month ago
@Rolena-Hatfield Oh that’s RIGHT, you live in Iowa don’t you! It’s near Lansing, IA…I don’t really know where that is except that it’s up near the Minnesota border somewhere…
*heartbroken whisper* So that means you aren’t already going?@Kina-Lamb Yes! Of course it means that, and I can’t wait to see y’all there. 🙂

HEY @Kina-Lamb! I didn’t know you were a writer too! Awesome.
What’s your favorite book?
And what instrument do you play?
I’m looking forward to getting to know you better here.
Also to looking ’round on your website, but the computer’s being slow right now. 😉 -

@Dragon-Snapper Oh. Well that’d hardly go over well would it. 😛 Unless you wanted to make him be forced to do it because no one else could, and he’d end up changing. 😉

@Dragon-Snapper Erm…you could have King Daeus be the dragons’ personal trainer—a king training his fighter dragons himself would be neat. That’s currently the most exciting idea I thought of. 😛

Hi @Daeus, *waves* , would you be kind enough to officiate an e-mail address exchange between @Ethryndal and myself, through your blog or how it is you do it? Thanks in advance. 🙂
-
Sure. @ethryndal just contact me here: http://www.thescratchingquill.com/contact/

@Daeus @Emma-Flournoy It is done. 😀
-
Thanks muchly @Daeus.
-
Eh…was there something I was s’posed to do too @Daeus? Just wondering ’cause I’ve got no e-mail address yet…I thought I didn’t need to send my address because you already know it, but if I thought wrong by all means rebuke me. 😛

@Ethryndal I thought of something awful…you have to register beforehand (it’s not free, either), and I think it fills up so fast, spaces don’t last long so unless you’re already registered there might not be any room left. I think you have to register pretty far in advance, and it was already almost filled up in December 2016. I feel so…[Read more]

WHAT? Well that’s way better than a straight-out NO!
And really, we’re such out-of-it homeschoolers too; this’ll be the first thing we’ve done like this. We live way out in the sticks and don’t see many other homeschoolers, so it’ll be fun, ESPECIALLY IF WE CAN MEET SOME OF YOU PEOPLE THERE!

Thank you so much for the kind words, Emma! (That’s funny. Did you read my, “but be an example,” post? Not at all. I’m not offended if people say I’m young anymore. ) Out of curiosity, (I’m a very curious person!!) how old do you think I am? I haven’t told anyone yet, and I extremely enjoy hearing people guess how old I am. : )
Yep, I read at least part of that post…I always want to be sure I’m not hurting someone’s feelings, but I wanted to be extra careful after seeing that. 😉 I was pretty sure you’d not have a problem with that anymore though.
Hey, I’m a very curious person too, so you’re in good company. 🙂 I’m pretty sure I already know how old you are—12 or…[Read more]
@Kina-Lamb Are you 12 or 13?
13. And let me guess… you’re probably 15 or 16?
Yup, 16. How’d you guess that?
Well, I looked up your first introduction post, and you said then that you were fifteen, and it was dated nine months ago. From that I concluded that you were either almost 16 or 16. 😀
Aha, a very logical course of action. 🙂
Hi @emma-flournoy ! Do you have any ideas on how to describe an angry knocking on a door? I was thinking like a “Bang. Bang,” but then I thought it might be mistaken for gun shots. I thought about “Thud. Thud,” but it sounds kind of soft, do you think? It’s Turkish soldiers banging on the door of my great-grandpa’s house that I want to describe. Thanks!
Hey Kina!
You’re right, the ‘thud’ sounds kind of soft. ‘Bang’ is a little bettter, and I don’t think it’s too similar to guns, but it is very common. So…crack…pound…hammer…? Those wouldn’t all work the way you had it—the word repeated twice slowly. I mean, it would sound a little weird. ‘Hammer. Hammer.’
Hm. 😛 If you wanted to…[Read more]
@Kina-Lamb Did you find something to work?
@emma-flournoy oh sorry! I meant to reply to this. For now I’m just doing “Knock. Knock. Knock.” As I read over great grandpa’s story, I realized that the Turk soldiers weren’t really angry, they were just a little rough, so “Knock Knock Knock” sounds better to me now than it did before. I am going to add some background information before that. I…[Read more]
