@Daeus I like it a lot, except that it sort of seems to give too much away. I mean, it’s not really giving anything away, nothing important. But it sounds like it; sounds too info-packed. Or something like that. I don’t dislike it though if that’s the only option.
I REALLY LIKE the gears of the world turn faster thing or something along those…[Read more] -

@Mariposa Yeah, it wasn’t bad! I didn’t like it nearly as well as M I, but it was still pretty good. You?

@TheAcornMan Oh yeah, the costumes (and most other aspects) in Hornblower are absolutely fantastic. (I LOVE British acting. As with everything there are exceptions, but British acting is as a general rule much better than American. It’s amazing, and part of what makes the movies from BBC and other British companies so good.) AND the main…[Read more]

HEY @ETHRYNDAL, ME LIKES THE DICTIONARY. But as that was obviously intended to be disparaging, GO TO YOUR ROOM.
To recompense you have the supremely difficult task of figuring out just what ‘les miserables’ means in French. *scowl* And once you read that book I will likely be madder than you have ever seen if you still call it a…a DICTIONARY!…[Read more] -

@Ethryndal The Internet is really creepy when you think of it. XD
Very fortunate indeed. I like the glimpses I see of this world-taking-over creep guy. They make me want to watch him. And I will, someday. *wiggles eyebrows*
@Kate-Flournoy OF COURSE. Duh.
But he’s so amazing. It’s really great. SO REAL.
OK, I really need to go to bed. BYE…[Read more]

@Glitter-Ocelot Me obviously loves good stories in any setting so long as they’re really good, but fantasy is one of my favorites too. 😀 Shocking I know. Lots of my favorite stories are historical fiction/period dramas though. (And I’m actually not a writer—my older sister Kate on here is and I know lots about it but I don’t actually write—so…[Read more]

GUUUUUUUUUYS that was absolutely hilarious. What, do you have a whole Loki gif website or something? Sheesh. So many great ones there.
YAY FOR YOU SARAH!!! *glitter fountains* WRITE SOMETHING GOOD WHATEVER IT BE.
(But…your post didn’t show up on the forum, or hasn’t yet, so anyone who didn’t see it— sorrows. It came in by the notification…[Read more]

@TheAcornMan The naval history is the BEST. Have you seen the A&E mini-series Horatio Hornblower? If that period nautical stuff is something you like you’d probably love that. It’s one of my favorite series.
Heh…the main one that comes to mind (and another more minor one) was a rip-off from the Viking Quest book series by Lois Walfrid…[Read more] -

@Daeus Oh right, To Soar ON Eagles. It didn’t give me any Native American vibes till Kate mentioned it (thanks a lot Kate. XD) but I don’t think it’s the best one anyway. Yet.

@TheAcornMan I actually did write, when I was younger. They were mostly rip-offs, of course.
I have thought of doing it since, but never very seriously…I think I’m happy enough with my sister’s writing (I’m sort of ‘editor-in-chief’) that I don’t really want to do my own, and I know I wouldn’t be as naturally good at it as she is. 😛 So I don’t…[Read more] - Load More
