But, if she’s naturally a hopeful, cheery person, she might use humor and optimism to keep herself and everyone else encouraged, even when things are hard.

I once watched a tv series with a character who was really funny and light-hearted in the first season, but serious in…[Read more]

I Have a character who while I don’t consider her to be comic relief is extremely optimistic.

I think a good question to ask would be, why is this character optimistic?

For my character she grew up in a very healthy family around very kind people. So she always sees the best in people and (wrongly, as this causes her troubles at some…[Read more]

@gabbyj Well, I have to admit I’ve never really tried to add humour in my writing. Makes me sound a bit depressing.

Maybe it could be interesting to see that character mature as the plot intensifies. Unless of course you really want humour to remain throughout your story.

I know I haven’t really answered the original question. Just a bit of food…[Read more]

@gabbyj Okay. Well, in that case I’d definetly try and keep my distance if I could. Whenever possible I’d use long ranged weapons. Due to their size a ballista springs to mind. I’m going to assume your dragons breath fire so wooden weapons are redundant. A suit of metal armour might not be the best idea as it would essentially become an oven.

Um….the only dragon I’ve had to worry about taking down is the Ender Dragon from Minecraft, and no one who values his life hurts a dragon in Leifer. But….I guess I do have some thoughts.

@GabbyJ *puzzled glance at everyone* These people sound experienced. It’s unnerving. Anyway, I (almost) never have to worry about slaying dragons, but my thoughts are:
• If the dragons have a weakness, they’re likely going to know about it. They would probably have a kind of instinct to protect their weakness. (Not flying directly over people w…[Read more]
