@mineralizedwritings Which of the books is your fav so far? I’d have to say ‘The Two Towers’ was my fav even with everyone separated, only because it had so many good moments and kept me guessing and also super excited 😂

Yeah the two towers was my favorite for sure. I really like Aragorn and Legalos.
I know Eowyn isn’t instantly likeable, but I don’t really mind. I feel like in lotr the characters are each living their own lives outside of the story, and having some of them grate a little makes them seem more like…[Read more]

I just got return of the king! I think I’m on chapter 3 or 4.
It’s ok, you don’t have to be a fan. I only like them when they’re written well, and I’m looking forwards to seeing Tolkien’s example XD because I know he writes better than most authors these days.

Yeah I get you there. I’m in the end of chapter 8 and tbh for some reason it just doesn’t have the charm that the other two books had. It’s a lot more serious warfare and although it is important for the plot, the characters aen’t resonating with me a lot. I Like where Legalos’s path is going, it seems like it might be…[Read more]
